Hope you all had a good Christmas, ours was a quiet one. I was a very lucky girl with crafty presents and Champagne afternoon tea at the Ritz to look forward to.
I did manage a card or two before closing the craft-room down. I had this Especially for You Petunia Stamping Bella stamp coloured and when I saw the sketch on Stamping Bella I thought it would work for it.
The papers are Doodlebug, the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle for around my image. The large flower is again from Simon Says stamp Stitched Daisies and the leaves are Cluster of Leaves.
At this moment while I write this post to schedule today, Hubby is trying to ring his brother to find out how MIL is, he didn't want to ring the home because there is a huge clean up. We know they moved all the residents upstairs Boxing day morning and that there is no electric or gas.
The building with the blue bin and sign is MIL Nursing Home. The front door that they don't use, MIL room is just above it and this would be her view.
Here is the crew that arrived to help evacuate before things got bad.
Hopefully by the time this blog post is posted we will have managed to contact them and find out that all is well.
We've managed to ring BIL yesterday, the power is still out at the time and it was more of a clean up.
I love your pretty card Debby and the cute SB stamp looks great enhanced by the beautiful stitched flower and cluster of leaves. So sorry your MIL has got caught up in these dreadful floods and hope, when you hear, the news is reassuring. x
ReplyDeleteDebby love your card. Petunia is just so adorable, love your finishing touches on this as well. I hope all is good with your MIL. Take care, hugs,
ReplyDeleteAdorable card Debby. Pics say it all - the water has receded a little in the valley below us but it's the mess that's left behind - more heavy rain forecast for us here in the North too over the next couple of days - hopefully it won't be too long before the power comes back on at least down below us....
ReplyDeleteA beautiful fresh card Debby.
ReplyDeleteOh! how awful for everyone concerned, the pictures coming out from the North is so upsetting I can only imagine what it must be like living through all this dreadful flooding a lot of people are experiencing. You have our prayers and hopes that MIL will be OK. AND all the other people caught up in these most awful conditions,
Excellent card. I love how the little piggie pops off the page. I hope your MIL and BIL are okay.
