I love Tim Holtz Crazy Birds and I just had to have them at the time I had no idea how to use them, when they arrived I was surprised how large the birds were. No way was I going to get more than a couple on a card.  Then I had a lightbulb moment Shrink Plastic, now I coloured them with pencils it doesn't matter which ones but remember if you colour on shrink plastic when it shrinks the colour intensifies. When I coloured mine you could barely see any colour.

Here you can see how small my birds shrunk, yes there is one missing I managed to chop off the curl on top of his head so he never made it back to my craftdesk. If Tim Holtz is reading this which I doubt we really need mini crazy birds maybe not has small as my shrink plastic ones.

Anyway back to my card, the challenge is for Lets get Sentimental so my I used the Tim Holtz Good Thoughts which I thought was a play on words seeing my birds are now tiny.

Now my birds need something to stand on so I had to make a wall so using Kraft card and the Tim Holtz Bricked Stencil it was a bit tricky because I had to make the wall in two parts and match the bricks up but it is possible that only I know where the join is. I used a dark red and brown inkpad to create the bricks.

A bit of grass from My Favourite Things and I used Simon Says Stamp Cloud Bank has a template for my clouds. I made the template for a challenge a while ago and kept it to use again. I place my Crazy Owl on the Simon Says Stamp Songbird branches but I did wonder if it was owl too far.

I really enjoyed making this card, it was such fun to get out the Shrink Plastic which I hadn't used for ages.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

  48. I do of course love all your makes and I was determined to actually come by and leave at least a few comments on your blog (as opposed to simply hitting the "like" button when I spot your cards in facebook feeds). I was about to move on when I spotted these birdies. This is a FABULOUS card and it is such a clever, clever idea to use the shrink plastic! Well done you! Hugs, Lesley
