For John

I had to make Hubby a card for his retirement and when I go to Ally Pally I must look out for a Happy Retirement because I couldn't find one in my stamps.
I kept the image Gardening Gus from Dr Digi clean and simple mainly because I wasn't up to making cards. I've used the Stitched rectangle but the one in the centre has been extended and the join is under the MFT fence. I wish now I brought down the image because the poor chap is floating above the fence but I conveniently add my signature there to hide the fact.
Since he is a gardener I though I'll add a few flowers and of course the Lavish Branch from Memory box but discreetly done.
Apart from he's floating on air or jumping for joy about retiring (actually he's worried he will be bored) I quite like how he turned out.
I have to apologise for being a bad blogger travelling long distance and craft weekends are having an adverse effect and it looks like we may be visiting MIL again this weekend at some point. Also the year continues to bite us in the bum with my Brother now very poorly in hospital.

  16. Happy retirement to your husband! This is such a cute and clever card! Personally I like the join as is and wouldn't even add the fence on top of it. To me it's a part of the design.
