Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Transport It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher
This week the challenge is ,,,,,,,,
USE WATERCOLORS
there are so many options for this challenge, you can use watercolor paints, pencils, crayons, gelatos, distress inks, whatever you can think of.
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
First of all I don't have any fancy cardstock just plain cheap 160gsm so I made the decision to use Derwent Inktense pencils and an ordinary paintbrush with minimum amount of water.
The next step was to use the Simon Says Stamps Leaves Stencil where I wanted it to lay and then using a green pencil just coloured the stems and the bottom of leaves where it joins the stem. Still with the stencil on the card I used the paintbrush to spread the colour throughout the leaves. The water did slip underneath the stencil a bit and to begin with I wasn't sure I liked the finished result. But it actual look like watercolour.
The Roses and other leaves from Best Mom again Simon Says Stamp were stamp with an dye inkpad on a separate piece of card cos I knew I wanted to cut them out. But this time I decided to pull the colour from the inked edges.
The sentiment was made up with a couple of Simon Says Stamp sets Essential Greetings and Happy set.
So now it's YOUR turn. Happy Crafting
