Birthday Princess

It really was a case of put the embellishment down and stand away from the card, I was itching to put something in the top right hand corner.
The sketch I'm pretty sure is The Sketchy Challenge but I did make a few days ago. Papers some old Stamping Up and of course my image is from Mo Manning Birthday Princess I think she is called.
Flowers are a punch but the middles were from a flower die set. I've actually used the Formal Flourish from MFT but it pretty well covered up like the Crochet Border.
The heart banners are from La Land Land.
My heart isn't making cards at the moment and I need to take a break, I think finally 2014 has caught up with me. I'll still be making my DT cards but I'm taking the pressure off posting a blog post everyday to see if this will help. I need to go back to making cards just because I can.

  3. :( I know what you mean, Debby - I feel like my original mojo has deserted me recently. I took a break this week and now I'm looking forward to making a card today.

I love this card though - so pretty and up to your usual very high standards

  6. Beautiful card Debby.

It is so easy to lose the fun in a craft/hobby when it becomes "have to" rather than "want to". Hope taking some time just to craft for 'you' helps.

  7. Hi Debby a beautiful card Love all the details. I don't blame you for taking a break I stopped blogging every day a while ago although I hadn't done it for that long! I don't know how you manage as your cards are so detailed as well. Hope the break does you good and I look forward to seeing the cards you do blog. Hugs Susan x

  9. She's fabulous Debby and you are quite right to take a step back, we "make" because we want to and when we "have" to it becomes a chore so you just enjoy it!! xx

  12. This card is so pretty Debby and so well designed as are all your cards, but I'm sure it is good for all of us to take a step back, take the pressure off, and the need to create often returns quite quickly and with renewed vigour, so just give yourself a break, it is allowed you know. Take care. x

  17. Oh Debby, this is yet another fabulous card - she's such a cutie :) And, as always, every single little element had been so carefully worked out.

I agree with others, a break is often a good thing to do when it sometimes feels like a blogging tread mill. We'll all still be here waiting for your posts - hey ho, maybe my purse will have a little rest too :))

    Hugs, Di xx

  29. You made me smile, Debby, with your statement, "Put down the embellishment and stand away from the card..." It sounds like a line from a murder mystery/police TV show! Your card is lovely as usual. I don't think I could ever keep up with posting every day. I only post 2 or 3 times a week (occasionally 4 times) and that's really enough for me. Maybe a less frantic schedule will work for you, too!
