Memory Box

We really enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year but its been overshadowed by being victims of theft. The gate that was put up for me to have easy access to get outside was tampered with and they had a good rummage in the garden shed, took all the decent garden machinery. They knew we were away and what they wanted. At the moment I'm feeling guilty if I didn't have mobility problems we wouldn't need to do the refit in the first place.

Anyway as you can see I do have a card. Basically I didn't use the Fresh Foliage and the Chloe stem on one of the cards I had been making so rather than waste them I made a card. After eventually finding the Chloe die in the bin still attached to the waste, phew that was lucky I cut out another. The fancy oval die is from Memory Box too, managed to pick up in a sale. I used the Sizzix Bricked embossing folder and papers were in my stash.
Today will be spent on the phone having discovered some serial numbers I have to ring the police back and ring the Insurance company to see if we are covered. Also I trip down B&Q to try and make the shed more secure. Pretty sure my mojo is feeling messed up too.

  4. So sorry about your theft, but don't blame yourself for someone else's crime. If you had left your front door open with a "help yourself" sign then maybe you would share some responsibility, but not in this case!

  7. Oh this is beautiful Debby, love the colours which are so striking but the design is equally beautiful.

So sorry you were the victim of a horrid crime, but you should not feel guilty, there are just some very sick people out there, one of our sons was burgled when he and his wife were on holiday so clearly someone had been watching their house.

  15. Gorgeous card Debby!
And you have nothing to feel guilty about! It's the lowlifes that broke in and stole that are the guilty ones, not you. I hope they get what they deserve! x

You mustn't feel guilty it is not your fault. Hope you get everything sorted with the insurance etc (good news finding serial numbers). Love your card lovely fresh colours and gorgeous layout.

  20. This is so gorgeous Debby. Love the fresh look and the design.
Please don't feel guilty about having the gate fitted. The only guilty parties are the ones that broke into your shed and stole your property. It's a horrible thing to happen to anyone. I hope the insurance will get sorted before you need to start using the equipment that was stolen.

  27. A really beautiful Spring like card.

I am so sorry about your theft, I get really angry at these people, what they need is someone going into their property and taking things, wonder what they would feel like then.

  28. Aww Debby ... sorry to hear that your things were taken. People who take things that don't belong to them are about as low on the food chain as you can get. I hope that your insurance will cover your losses.

Your card is so crisp and clean and makes me dream about the Spring weather that can't come soon enough.

  29. so sorry to hear of your theft problem ... may i suggest a sensor lite and a secure lock...i truly believe in neighbourhood watch posting signs...and having mobility issues does not help. perhaps its best you were not at home....better your things than perhaps putting your life at risk as some of these people can be dangerous. its a violation of your being but you can not be replaced like tools can....be safe.... i love your card its very beautiful....sending you a hug and hope it makes you feel a little better.
