Kraft Snowman

Last year I brought this Snowman set from Stampin Up planning to use it a lot this year errrr I made three cards! Two of which were failures but the one that did work the one above is when I discovered I could use Simon Says Stamps Falling Snow with a pencil and then dot with liquid pearls over the dot.

First off I used Versamark but didn't like it.

Then I went over the with glue pen and some glamour dust, another failure didn't like this either.
I could of embossing with white powder but it tends to come out cream perhaps there is another white embossing powder that actually embosses white white but has yet I haven't found it.

I love that he has little black boots on, I love it. The Snow falling looks fab, if you would permit it, I would like to try that on one of my cards, it's a great look. DebbieX

  14. I can see what you mean, and I prefer the first card too. This is a lovely stamp - this snowman has character. I wonder if you can stamp with white acrylic paint thickened with a little PVA glue, perhaps that would look whiter - I must admit I haven't tried this.

  33. Oh he's fabulous, and really pops against your kraft BG.
I've bought loads of white embossing powders too in the search for a proper white colour - the best so far is Cosmic Shimmer 'True White' embossing powder and 'Snow Cap' Ranger ink pad .. still not 100% though!

  44. I think you're right that the liquid pearls look the best, but I wouldn't count the other two as failures! They're pretty cute, too.
