First of all here is Billy from Ikea (the shelf unit) my husband thought this was the answer to all my craft storage problems!
Here's Billy nearly totally loaded up and we've barely touched the room.
I saw this trolley from Ikea and thought it would be a great way of keeping all the things near me that I have all around in my craft room in easy distance.
Didn't take long to fill that up either.
So here I am now on the dining room table. To the left is the drawer unit my sister picked up for me from a school she worked at, it was going to be throw out all because it was missing a wheel.
Over by the window it a multi coloured drawer unit my sister brought me for Christmas. Under the table is some more card stock. Out of the picture is storage stool which inside has my cross-stitch in but on the top are really useful boxes full of scrapbook papers.
The wooden drawer unit is on the landing along with a couple of large plastic drawer sets and thats not including the 3 large shelves in the spare room. My friend came round and she couldn't believe that all this stuff fitted in my 9 foot by 41/2 foot room. Thats without giving loads to a friend and several black rubbish bags of why did I keep that stuff which was binned.
Unfortunately still now plans for building regs yet, the chap has had problems so I could still be here next November.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the peep into your room, I too have one of those Ikea trolleys for keeping crafty bits close to me. I think they're great, helps keep the desk clear.

ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, we fill up a shelf in a nano second while thinking it looked so big when it was empty... LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of reorganising my room as well. Hubby thinks a shelf or two is enough..not. Have a great week and happy WOYWW DeDe #42
Your aqua trolley is a gem! I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteIf we ever find a new house to downsize into, that is the colour I want for my room. It is so cheerful looking!
You look fairly settled but i think maybe you need 2 billy cabinets...do you have room for another?
Are you planning a remodel and that is why you moved? Will have to read back on your blog as I must have missed why you have moved...
Take care and happy crafty in your lovely room...Love that gorgeous light from the window.
Hi Debbie, well you looked sort of organised, especially Billy.
ReplyDeleteLove that Ikea trolley, unfortunately its not stocked in the Ikea here, which is a shame, I love it.
I am in middle of having a good sort out in my craft room (well its a guest bedroom. I started off with 2/3 boxes! I have just thron out 2 large bin liners of bits of card, old papers, scribbled notes, you name it, it is in the bag. I have also given boxes of card and papers to the young girls who live next door!
I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Ha Ha
Off to have a long browse at your blog.
Love Sheila x
every time I go to Ikea, I come away with another storage bit saying this will create more space...........but for some reason it doesn't cos I just fill it up again
ReplyDeletehugs
Poor you Debby! It must be really hard to find yourself with insufficient storage and accessibility after what you are used to but at least you must be warm in doors! If I can help you - please let me know. Hugs, Lesley
