Mouse House
It hasn't been a good week and my craft mojo had definitely taken a bashing not really sure if I like how my card turned out for today.
Could be because I coloured this image with these papers, some pretty ones left out of the set but now I'm thinking they don't work.
The actual sketch is rather a good one from Friday sketch Challenge, but I'm wondering now whether I should have cut two Best Wishes one in black to edge it slightly so it would stand out, too late now
Do love this Penny Black image though bit fiddly when you fussy cut the parcel, ladybirds and the snail but its worth it in the end.
Today I have a DT card to make although what I wanted to do I don't think I will have the patience to do it, we will see.

Merry Christmas
I did mention you may see this Merry Tree from Simon Says Stamps again. I've been admiring the word cards that use a Christmas item for the O or A, I believe I did this myself last year with the word Snow and exchange a snowflake for the O.
But this year my Son brought me the the word dies from Memory Box well I had a set but the upper case was Parker and the lower case was Classic so he brought the ones I had missing to make up the two sets. This time I've used the Classic set.
So I found some small dotty paper and used the dies to make Christmas and using the Merry from the Merry Christmas from Simon Says Stamp to make up the full sentiment.
Then I stamped and using the tree die to cut it out, I also ran the die through a brown bit of card so that I didn't have to stamp and line up the trunk bit too fiddly for me.
But I can't decide if I like without a mat or with a mat.

Robins
I'm not sure that this will be pass for Less is More this week, there is plenty of white but this is the card that popped in my head when I read the challenge.
Instead of pearls I've used Liquid pearls did have a couple of issues had to use a cocktail stick to redefine a couple.
The Robins are from Penny Black Transparent set, which I brought the other year because I fell in love with them. The Holly is one of Penny Black die and so it the sentiment.
Papers are from LOTV from their Nitwits range.

The move
Since this is What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday, although I haven't joined in for a long while, I thought now that I'm out of my craftroom you might what to know what a muddle I'm in.
First of all here is Billy from Ikea (the shelf unit) my husband thought this was the answer to all my craft storage problems!
Here's Billy nearly totally loaded up and we've barely touched the room.
I saw this trolley from Ikea and thought it would be a great way of keeping all the things near me that I have all around in my craft room in easy distance.
Didn't take long to fill that up either.
So here I am now on the dining room table. To the left is the drawer unit my sister picked up for me from a school she worked at, it was going to be throw out all because it was missing a wheel.
Over by the window it a multi coloured drawer unit my sister brought me for Christmas. Under the table is some more card stock. Out of the picture is storage stool which inside has my cross-stitch in but on the top are really useful boxes full of scrapbook papers.
The wooden drawer unit is on the landing along with a couple of large plastic drawer sets and thats not including the 3 large shelves in the spare room. My friend came round and she couldn't believe that all this stuff fitted in my 9 foot by 41/2 foot room. Thats without giving loads to a friend and several black rubbish bags of why did I keep that stuff which was binned.
Unfortunately still now plans for building regs yet, the chap has had problems so I could still be here next November.

ANYTHING GOES !
We are showcasing TIM HOLTZ/RANGER Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would LOVE to see them used :-)
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
I do have a problem using Tim Holtz goodies cos I alway wanted to do what he can do and its a bit too grungy for my brain to comprehend and it never turns out well. But while choosing what to use I decided to buy Tim Holtz Twigs stamp no reason why it just appealed to me and I probably was thinking of making this type of card.
First of all I had to make my background, punched a circle with repositionable glue on the back so I can remove it after inking everything. I used Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Ink pads, once happy I stamped the twig stamp.
I did have a bit of an issue since the stamp isn't square and I decided it would work better as a square which is why I cut out the MFT fence die.
Used the fabulous Merry Christmas die from Simon Says Stamps but decided to use both words. Since my experiment with the tree last week with the Falling Snow Stencil from Simon Says Stamps I repeated the trick this week. In case you missed what I did, I dotted the snow on stencil onto the card using a pencil and then used Liquid Pearls to make the snow hiding the dots too this allows the snow to look random.
Now its your turn to join us don't worry if you don't have any Tim Holtz products that whats brilliant with an Anything Goes Challenge it means just that.

Happy Christmas
I finally had a go at using one of the trees from the Merry Trees stamps and die set from Simon Says Stamps and not just the sentiment Merry and Bright all the time. Its rather cute I did cheat, I couldn't try and line up the truck stamp so it was easier to cut out the tree after stamping chop of the trunk and then run the die in the Big Shop again with a scrap of brown card and stick it underneath.
I made this a few days ago and I'm trying to work out which die I use for the little star but I didn't it a stamp from the stamp set.
I do love the Merry Christmas die especially has once cut they're are separate and I used the Circle border die but I've also used it on patterned paper for the inside.
There will a be some more Merry Trees soon don't say you wasn't warned.
Mums seems a little better and is now comfortable on a ward, fingers crossed it continues.
Back at 2pm with a new Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge.

Pretty in Pink and Brown
Time for another Everybody Art Challenge this week we are asking for Pink and Brown and I have some Bo Bunny papers that were perfect for this challenge. Of course the camera has changed my brown card to stange blackish brown but its definitely brown. I'm pretty certain that the sketch I've used is Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
The cute image is First Day Faye from Mo Manning, lovely to colour but I'm going to have to find the card because I haven't coloured in the crown which I was going to use a gold pen and the buttons on her skirt haven't been dotted with a white pen. Guess my head is just not in the right place at the moment.
Anyway I have used the Lavish branch twice but cut them up to suit my Memory Box flowers and the corners are from an old Quickcutz die.
Thank you for the lovely comments wishing my mum to get well, she is very poorly still as of yesterday no sign of improvement. I absolutely dread it when the phone goes at the moment.

A Sassy Christmas
I haven't brought any images from Sassy Cheryl lately so I've remedied this by buying this sweet image. The papers are LOTV new packs from Nit Wits and the sketch was Sweet Sketch Wednesday from a couple of weeks ago.
I was also practicing the liquid pearls but this was before I discovered that I could use the Falling snow stencil to help me do random though I haven't used it round an image yet but I reckon the same principle will work on them too.
The poinsettia are Spellbinders and the border is MFT die cut twice, the sentiment is a grey one rubber one floating about on my desk no idea whose but guessing it could be LOTV.
Not sure if there will be any craft making today my mum is very poorly with pneumonia.

For the Boys (men)
I saw the sketch on Mojo Monday and decided it would with Mr Dunderton from Dr Digi but I had made a bit of a mistake with the colours and manged to salvage the image as well as the card he was on.
So I found some new papers that worked a bit better from Doodlebug. The added button had to be flipped over cos it looked better away from the football.
Lucky for me a parcel from Simon Says Stamps arrived and it so happened to have the Happy Retirement stamp in it from Penny Black. Since its a mans card that was pretty much it.
But I still have the card I salvage with out an image and so instead of being binned I quickly stamped in the colour of card mats the swirly car from Penny Black. Had to use a stamp a jig to get the sentiment to fit, there was a tricky moment when I realised the button was stuck down but if it did pull the paper its hidden by the image mat.
So for today two cards for the price on one.

Swinging Saturday
You wouldn't believe how long I've had this Penny Black Stamp and never used it but its one of those stamps that you must have. You can't quite see but its all been layered and there were a lot, I'll have to start to photo on a jaunty angle again so you can see them.
Of course I've used a sketch this time from Sketch and Stash, but there is a sneaky addition the bit of ribbon and well done me cos the sketch last time I came in the top 3.
The papers are Lucky Charm by American Craft and the flowers are EK success but very old now so I'm not sure if it still available but an old favourite of mine.
So this weekend its card writing and wrapping presents for the trip up North in a couple of weeks but that does mean I have to make some quick and plain tags.

Liquid Pearls
Remember the trees on my card yesterday, well this was the experiment to see if I could use the liquid pearls on the trees and whether it would look OK. I was so pleased it worked but I had a little trick up my sleeve. I had used liquid pearls on the Penny Black last Saturday but I felt I wasn't random enough. Random isn't something I can do so I had to find something that would do it for me.
I recently got the falling snow stencil from Simon Says Stamps and instead of using for embossing paste or ink, I take a pencil and dot over my tree then used the liquid pearls over it, when its done and I find there a space I don't like I can still dot the pearls over it.
The tree is Dee's Distinctly large tree die and my favourite sentiment at the moment from Simon Says Stamps Merry Trees.
Well my Christmas Cards all have inserts now I just need someone to write them for me, any takers.

With Baby
I might find myself in the naughty corner with my card we suppose to make a gift tag that was the theme Alexandra chose but if I make an OTT tag everyone will want one so I settled on making a tag and putting it on a card. Plus I only really read make a tag but missed the gift tag which was in brackets thats my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
To be honest I've had this card on my desk (dining room table) for the past week thinking something is missing, yes I could be a sentiment but I'm not sure that is what it needs.
First of the I've chosen the wonderful With Baby image and I stamped some snowflakes using a grey inkpad but they're stamped on waste card first so I get a lighter grey to look like silver.
The trees are Distinctly Designs trees, large and small and the curve border is a spellbinder. The papers are from Stampin Up.
Has you can see all my practising has paid off and my liquid pearls dots are working but I did have to make a card first too see if the dots on the trees didn't look stupid.
So hopefully you've arrived from Julie and now you need to Hop, Skip and Jump over to Heidy
If you didn't realise that there was a blog hop happening with a chance of winning on of the couple of prizes of voucher to spend in Mo's store then pop over to Alexandra and start at the begining.

Roses
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge !! Thank you for joining us for the Thanks/Thanksgiving Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too :-)
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher !! :-)
This week the challenge is ,,,,,,,,
Follow Heather's Sketch !
We are showcasing Jane's Doodles and/or Authentique Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would LOVE to see them used :-)
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store!
My favourite type of challenge a sketch and although I've gone for CAS you can dress it up or down to suit yourself. But like I said at the moment my mind is CAS possibly only because I've sorted and moved everything and can't find things.
The stamps set I used is the Jane Doodles Roses and I have layered them though its not obvious on the photo. The papers are Authentique Precious pack but I won't be using again unless I can find what I did with the pack after I used it.
Ribbon and lace were in my stash already and the fabulous sentiment is a Simon Says Stamps one from their Flower Friend stamp set. My little button is a die from MFT using leftovers from the papers I've used.
So now it's YOUR turn ! Happy Crafting !!
Merry Trees
After making several cards using the fabulous sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Merry Trees die and stamp set, I finally got round to using the trees, well one of them. I also wanted to have a go at using the circle border stamp which turn out just fine and making a finished look for round my sentiment.
Just some scrap dotty paper and the Martha Stewart punched Holly to finish, oh and some twine.
Yesterday we finish Christmas presents shopping, OK just got some food and drink presents to get but thats easy to do with the rest of the normal food shop. Also checked out Ikea for ideas for my new craftroom although we still waiting for plans. All I need to do is to put in the inserts inside some 100 Christmas cards why do I always wait till now to do them all instead of as I go along.
But first I plan to finish checking out the fabulous creations that were made for the Simon Says Stamps Thanks Challenge of last week before the new one starts.
So be sure to check out the the new challenge at 2pm.

Kraft
Its a new challenge over on Everybody Art Challenge this week its to use Kraft card. Since I use it now for backing mats on patterned paper when I don't have the right colour fairly easy challenge. But I decided to use a piece and practice using Frantage and I have to say the jury is still out. I sprinkle but obviously I sprinkled too much and now way was I heating from above the card to watch it blow everywhere so I used the heat gun underneath less mess. At least this time I felt I could still use the card or it could be that it was round my image and I didn't have choice.
The actual papers are LOTV and of course my little girl image is Winifred from Mo Manning, wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't use her at least once. The sentiment is Simon Says Stamps Merry Trees sentiment again but I still love it at the moment.
The snowflakes are Simon Says Stamps but I cut them out twice once on white and then once on Kraft which I then cut out the star centre.
I do hope you can pop over and check out the team, even better if you can join us.

Mittens
Looking at the cards now I could have easily made them into baby boy cards by changing the sentiment but making Christmas cards were the plan for the weekend. The idea for them was so I could join in with Less is More to use Patterned Paper and I knew blue and kraft worked well together.
The mittens are a Memory Box die but used three times with kraft, white and the gingham. I just used another die the mini scallop from Memory Box to make the top border and with the first card used the Simon Says Stamps sentiment from Merry Trees.
In total I made 18 CAS over the weekend but moving my craft stuff has taken its toll and Mr Mojo wasn't co-operating. Not helped that the stamp I knew I had and last seen on my craftdesk in my craftroom is now nowhere to be found.
