The wagon wheel one I showed a few weeks ago and this one is for the friend who been told she is expecting a girl.
Still have problems when I crochet around added too many stitches to the corners will resolve that for the next one I make.
DD wrapped both blanket to give to her friends at the weekend and she told me I had to make tags (don't make tags unless forced) but these were really quick since I received a parcel from Simon Say Stamps. First of I have the stamp set called Tag Sayings and I decided I needed the Medium tag dies to go with it.
First I stamp my label and I added sayings from the Baby set then I use the dies. Some matching Doodlebug twine and I've the fastest tags ever. Just need to find some Christmas sentiments to fit the dies and that my Christmas tags sorted.
Wow it looks gorgeous Debby. Dabbling with a bit of crochet too and a blanket is my next job!

Oh Debby it is beautiful, truly. I am just starting crochet having got totally sick of cross stitch, I am off on a beginners course on the 12th of October.... until then I am following a Craftsy course.... I am not finding it that easy to be honest. You have made a really special blanket there.

I adore the blankets you have been making. I too crochet but have never done a project with Granny squares. I desperately want to but am worried about joining them together. I have watched many hours of youtube videos and don't like any of them or can't follow them. How do you get yours to lay flat? Are you following a pattern of sorts? If so, please share.
ReplyDeleteLove the blanket that you made. I made a "tutpopje" for my granddaughter and it's also made with granny square. Very easy to make, but a whole blanket .....pfffff.
ReplyDeletedon't know the name is enlgish for tutpopje, sorry
