Bubbles and Squeak
Sunglasses at the ready cos as you can see its a bit bright not sure what I was thinking and gosh did I struggle with this card. In the end it was a case of stepping away from the card and if it wasn't the fact I didn't have time to make another I think it would have ended in the bin.
One of my major probs is I hid the pink roses under the image so I lost my contrast colour and it went downhill from there. The stamp is of course a Penny Black called Bubbles and Squeak.
The papers I think are Echo Park and I used the Spellbinders curved die for my border. The leaves and flowers are using the Phlox leaves from Memory Box and EK success punch.

ReplyDeleteHi Debby,
ReplyDeleteOh it's tough when a card doesn't go as you plan, but I have to say that I would frame it and put it on my wall and not bin it - it is brilliant! Love the colours and the diecuts - and of course, your colouring is always amazing!

Another fabulous card Debbie and should definitely not be anywhere near the bin, but I know exactly what you mean when things just don't go right with a project.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when you step away from it for a while it looks fine when you go back.
hugs Kimx
I like it...especially the yellow and red color combo, the coloring and layout!
ReplyDeleteI love this card so much, Debby, that I just had to pin it to one of my Pinterest boards. I don't want to forget what it looks like, because I may have to case it one day. I so want to try your method of making the little Penny Black critters look dimensional.
ReplyDeleteOh super hun, with the bendy die, it really looks like they are travelling, luv Sam x
