Watering can

Money has got a bit tighter so I barely brought that many new Memory box dies but the watering can was one of them and this card is the reason why.
Unfortunately all the Memory box dies were to big to fit but Simon Says Stamps exclusive dies were perfect. I've used the Harrington Vine and the Meadow Rue, I did chop them up a bit so I could make a spray of flowers and the pearls strands were in my stash already. The sentiment is the All Occasion Banners again from Simon Says Stamps and the scallop border is Martha Stewart.
I've really struggled to feel the love when making cards and blogging so I'm going to take my advice and get off the hamster wheel.
I feel guilty if I put a CAS on my blog because sometimes it doesn't take as long fussy card, to make, so I feel you're not getting value for money when you visiting my blog .Also I want to do other things. So there are days when I feel I have to make fussy cards just for the sake of posting on my blog and I need to stop that.
Don't get me wrong I love people visiting and commenting especially when I'm having a bad day and I get some wonderful comments, it does perk you up.
So my plan is to make cards but whatever takes my fancy.
Which is way I've posted this CAS white card which i love to do because except the actual card the rest is make from the scraplings left over from an A4 card when I make it into a square card. So in fact they're made from scraps.
Well today I have to make a card but its a wedding one and I've been looking forward to making it all week but things have just got in the way but the Wedding ison Friday so it has to be made today.

  32. This is a very pretty and elegant card! I'm turning more and more to CAS cards too, I recently gave away a lot of stuf to make 'fuzzy' cards as you put it, because I don't use it anymore.
I love all your cards, I think you're so talented you can make anything. So put on your blog want you want to make and not what you think is expected from you and hopefully the love for card making returns :)

  34. Another magnificent monochrome card Debby. You do 'elegant' so well. Very sorry to see that you are not enjoying your card making time, it certainly does not come across in your beautiful work. I hope you realise how greatly talented and inspirational you are. I've often felt that blogging is time consuming and thankless work (I don't have a blog) but you m-u-s-t do what is best for you as there are sufficient pressures in all our lives already. BREATHE and BE HAPPY!

    Love,

  57. OH Debby...I love your blog...but I relate to you and your stories, your cards, and your style of writing...
I know I haven't been round lately as much but I am struggling with my health still and been so busy in the garden...By the time evening comes I am tired and just happy to keep DH company watching mindless telly...something I detest usually...
If you posted your laundry line fully of laundry or your ironing pile, I would still be reading your blog...so CAS it is when you feel like it!

With the busy pace of life nowadays, trying to balance our family lives, our house, our garden and perhaps even friends and another hobby or two...Yikes...we just should do what we enjoy.

I make some quickie card....I call them that on my blog...sometimes I feel guilty and say...Oh just another quickie card..but they fill up the finished card baskets and someone always drops by and is happy to take it home to us...so...life is good.

    Crafty hugs
