There's always one

So not really have a good week with CAS this card looked so much better in my head. My basic error now looking at it is that the vases should be Lime and the Tulips Black would've worked so much better.
Quite like my table cloth using the Pearl Lace border die from Memory box, you can just work out I backed in lime green to show through the dots. The other thing I like is that for the first time I stamped my sentiment cleanly and straight.
Not even going to enter it to Less is More too embarrassed.

  1. Like this Debby - don't know why you're embarrassed! I like the black vases - altho' I agree it would be just as effective the other way round. x

  15. Debby, I have long admired your beautiful work, quite frankly, it is refreshing to see that with your undeniable talent, even you have doubts about a creation! I quite like what you've done, you may be right about reversing the colours though. It is still a lovely card.

  23. I'm useless at seeing what's wrong with my cards, I just know that something's not right! I like your card how it is (great idea to back your die with colour by the way), but now that you've told me about reversing the colours I can see what you mean!

  24. Debby - I've been a follower for a short time, now, and I have to say, I love every one of your cards, including this one. You are one mega-talented lady. Just wish you were my neighbor, here in Minnesota, USA, so that I could come over and get some lessons from you! Thanks for sharing all your beautiful creations.

  31. I think it might have looked a bit top heavy if you had done it the other way round. Black is a very heavy colour? I would be chuffed to pieces to receive a card like this!

Don't be so hard on yourself! Its lovely :)

  33. I think it looks fine Debby, having the colours the other way round would look nice too, or your could have a black stripe on a green vase and vice versa... anyway it's too late to enter the challenge now, I only just had time to come and check out your blog :-)) Donna xx
