I saw the sketch from Sketchy Friday and thought this would work but to be honest my squares are to big and funny enought the smaller was didn't seem to fit so will have to re-think this layout if I did it again.
The stamps are the wedding one from the Spring Mini from Stamping Up sorry I've forgotten what it is called.
The embossed stripes are made with a scoring board. I'm afraid another bit of a disaster.

Over critical as ever! Like what you call 'pversized' images.. but I do understand where you're coming from - I think perhaps it's the lace? Smaller scalloped edged strip with a silver line under the ribbon?
