Those words and that picture are a powerful thing, Debby, thank you. My paternal gramps was a survivor of WWI .....until now, I didn't understand the horror of it all.

He took me on first trip to England when i was just 14. We went for 6 weeks! I fell in love with England and have returned many times over the years. He was a brave soldier...fought in WW1 and the Boer War. I have pictures of him marching in his kilt. He was in the Royal Iniskillen Fusilliers (sp). Thanks for the memories flooding over from your post!
