Absolutely
I confess I wasn't in the mood to trail through the previous challenges to join Less is More, my head just wasn't in the right place. I've done it before and all kinds of ideas popped into my head but not this week. But I had some new exclusive dies from Simon Says Stamps and when I opened my parcel and saw the Where the Heart is set and saw what should be windows I saw Flowerpots!
I thought it was brilliant that you had three windows/flowerpots so they could all be cut at the same time.
Of course you have to have flowers in your pots so I cut down the Meadow Rue to fit.
I also have the Asbsolute stamp and die set I just continue the strip to give my flower pots an edge to sit on.
Now to stick the word down I used an Xyron which I find very handy for sticking handmade titles for scrapbooking pages but also anything fiddly to stick and if I didn't layer like I do I would even use it on flowerpots.
A tip when using the Xyron once you've run through whatever you want to stick take an embossing tool and run it around the edges and any bits inside the shape leaves a cleaner finish.
I really loved how this work but I find things I really like other don't and things I think are not so good people love!

Well I think its brilliant Debby! Love how the tulips are drooping just like they do in real life! x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Debby! Love the tulips:)
ReplyDeleteLike you, I couldn't be hassled to trawl through old LIM challenge themes - mostly 'cos I'm horribly indecisive and would still be pondering!
I think I need a Xyron - generally I use double sided sticky sheets for tricky die cuts but often remember too late. My guess is that the Xyron is used after the cutting. Whooooosh, off to investigate :)

Well I like it - a lot. The flowerpots are brill and those flower heads just perfect for it. Thanks for the tip about the Xyron - I only have a small x shaped one and don't use it as often as I could because of the trailing sticky bits.Would love to get hold of one of the bigger ones sometime.
