This weeks challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge is to make a Tag or ATC, I make cards so not liking this challenge and we're showcasing Tim Holtzs products, mine never look as good as Tims.
So while travelling home the other week I had a lightbulb moment, probably because it was raining again!
It was to make a tag all dark and dank and then have a bright brolly. So using Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire distress pads I made a couple of grungy tags.
It was to make a tag all dark and dank and then have a bright brolly. So using Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire distress pads I made a couple of grungy tags.
I used one of the word stamps from the Tim Holtz Life Inspiration and the wooden bricked stamp which I had brought really for scrapbooking to make the actual tag. Because of the white space round the words I flicked some wetted ink from the craft mat with a paintbrush.
I stamped the man separately and cut it out so I could place it off the tag and the Umbrella is the Memory box die with some scraps of paper.
I always make two when experiementing so wasn't going to let this one go without doing a bit of the same but this time I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder painted with ink before I embossed and then added some brads and things.
Ok I did enjoy playing and making the tags and the first one came out far better than I could imagine.
So if you up for a challenge then join us this week and be in for a chance to win the fabulous prize of
Happy 4th of July to all my US friends and visitors.
Blast so much for scheduling for 2pm, I will get it right eventually!
