It's summer time, well it is on Simon Says Stamps challenge and we have an amazing inspiration board from Joy for the challenge.
We are also showcasing Hero Arts products although this is not necessary to enter the challenge. I've managed to get hold onto the Hero Arts with Studio Calico Lattice background stamp. I stamped it in versamark and embossed in white powder, then using Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick and Barn Door distress inkpads to colour. I was quite impressed with the finished results although it hard going on the hands and I had to make too backgrounds in case I made a mess of one.
Then I used the Hero Arts Artists Butterfly and coloured with my pencils before layering it up. The antennas are a stamen for flowers and of course I had to use pearls.
The sentiment is even a Hero Arts and the to finish with a border punch from Martha Stewart.
Now don't forget the fabulous prize and you have to be in it to win it. Need some inspiration pop over to Simon Says Stamps Challenge to check out the team.
So what did I do with the second background I made, pop back later.

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the problem resolved soon. Kudos.
