Not my Favourite
Well done Mr Blogger I finally posted a card that wasn't suppose to be posted, it was just a matter of time. So I've quickly deleted that one but I will post one of the few Less is More cards I've made using their sketch.
This is probably my least favourite, I feel its need a frame like my wobbly black and white one I did a couple of weeks ago. It's a Hero Arts stamp called My Type and you know I couldn't do a totally flat card its just not in my nature.
So I cut out the piece of paper and its stuck on the typewriter at the bottom but at the top there a bit of silicone glue to give a bit of lift and the spools are embossed and raised slightly too.
They do get better, well I think so but the weathermen said it would fine later so I will wait till then to attempt to photo them.

Fab card! I love the image and how you've added the bit of lift to the piece of paper :-) Love 'n' hugs, Mel xx

Oh my goodness girl...this cards is stunning. I love the typewriter paper raised like that. Do you just use sillicone like you use to calk windows (or a tub).
ReplyDeletehahaha I have silicone on my mind as I scraped out all our old silicone calk around both tubs yesterday and my SIL came and recalked them!
I like the way you embossed the little spools too.
It has been so long since I posted or left comments...just haven't had time due to my husband still recovering.
We are off to the lake on Thursday for a few days of rest and relaxation. I am a wee bit nrevous as the closest hospital is 40 minutes away and i don't drive!!! Yikes!!!
DH says that is why they have ambulances!
I am going to bring a wee kit to make some more recycled bird cards in the evenings. I don't have a lot of space as it is just a caravan in a resort community. One bag, some inks for shading, a couple of stamps, my dies and punches already cut in a little baggie
Hopefully i will get a dozen or so finished off and then I can finally retire that particular card theme!!!
Although I haven't been leaving comments, I have peeked at favorite blogs at times. You have had some lovely cards posted. I am always amazed at how much you get accomplished! You are an inspiration as I have some mobility issues due to arthritis too. Add in a terrible car accident and some times I don't get too much done.
Super Less is More card I do like it lovely card! Jo xxx

Don't know what you're talking about Debby - this is one lovely card. Just love the vintage image of this typewriter. You're too hard on yourself!
ReplyDeleteI really love this Debby the monochrome palette is perfect and the flapped up piece of paper is such a cute touch :0)

"Less is More"
Mr Blogger can be so annoying at times, your card is just perfect!!,xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fabulous sweetie love the how the paper comes out hun.
ReplyDeleteLotsa hugs Vicky xxx
It may not be your style of card but you've made a brilliant job of it and put your stamp on it (no pun intended) by decoupaging some elements. I think it's great.
ReplyDeleteBeryl xx
I really love this Debby! The dimension you added with the paper is the thing that raises this card from great to perfect!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card. Love the dimension with the paper.
ReplyDeleteLynne xxx
oh love it Debby!!!! fab!
ReplyDeleteYou may not like this card much but I think it's great. CAS cards are, for me, the most difficult cards to make ... it's knowing when to stop that's the problem but I think you've done a fab job and I like the dimension you have given the 'paper' in the typewriter. Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteGreat card love it - have just acquired this stamp set myself!
ReplyDeleteTina
I think its a great card, Debby but you may be right; even an embossed frame around the image might make it stand out a little more or perhaps if the image wasn't centred. I have a similar stamp (or maybe the same one even) and I bought it to do something similar but I've always been too scared. Silly really - its not like if I can't make it work, I would have ruined a lot of precious stash. Hugs, Lesley
