My Favourite !!!!!! of 2011

I have failed my Five Favourite cards of 2011 in fact I've narrowed down to 11 but two cards are similar so I've counted that as one but that still leaves me with 10. 

Someone commented I could call it Top Ten cards of 2011 and I think I like that suggestion but rather change the challenge in mid flow I'm leaving it as it is but next year I'm definitely calling it Top Ten.

So my first card is an Easel card and Sarah Kay you can't go far wrong with that combination.

I just love how these colours works together.

Love the bunny with his fluffy bobtail

Love Mo's Babies and this one is no exception.

The CAS challenges have been a real headache sometimes but I love the simplicity of this card even though the bike was a bit of pain to layer and its perfect for those pesky men cards.

There had to be a Tilda since I love how she is easy to colour and layer and often helps out when

Mr Motivator has left the building.

Now these two I count as one, yes I know its cheating but its my challenge and I'm making up the rules as I'm going along. But they are the same style of card with the help of Magnolia its mostly High Hopes stamps.

I love the inverted frame and I love the adorable Kiss image from Mo and think I may have to remake her in red for Valentines.

Love the fairies from Sugar Nellie and love how with a simple sketch they both turn into a gorgeous card.

I had to have a favourite Penny Black card which was really hard since I could easily have all my favourites Penny Black but I do love how this tall card worked out and I held out nearly all year before I posted it out.

Here's the candy for this challenge, yes that my favourite papers at the moment and was incredible difficult to part with.

Butterflies and Fairies

Did you think I wouldn't have a crafty post today, well this little darling wasn't quite ready to be photo yesterday and I was having issues. I keep blowing the plug sockets we think its one plug which Hubby started to mend but he put the top of plug somewhere in my craftroom and we've both looked and its nowhere in sight he did blame me for having too much stuff, they just don't understand do they.  Do we have a spare plug, of course not so Hubby picked up a plug yesterday.
So this morning I finished  the card then had to wait not so patiently for daylight.
But its here now, I used the Sweet Sketch Wednesday sketch had to move the sentiment though, my absolutely favourite papers at the moment the gorgeous First Edtiton Isabella. The sweet fairy is from Sugar Nellie and a large amount of glamour dust.
Woken up this morning with a sore throat and stuffy nose, typical the day before celebrating New Year well I shall be dosing myself up with all know cures for the next 24 hours.

Tom and Tilly

I love how Mo Manning has catch a moment with Tom and Tilly and I've used them for my Mum and Dad's wedding anniversary card. I know it not till the beginning of February but nearer the time I will forget and be in rush to make it at last minute, this way I've just got to remember the safe place!
So the papers are Echo Park Country Drive and the sketch is Papertake Weekly. I made a faux mat by cutting a silhouette frame that way I didn't have to use another bit of the same paper, did have moment when the craftknife slipped and the frame had to be made extra thin.
The border is a Memory box die called Meridan border, the sentiment is Stampin Up and its all finished with some red roses.
I've started to choose my favourite five of 2011 I think I may have rename it the my favourite ten but it doesn't have the same ring to it.

A Sarah Kay Present

So now the big day is over do fancy a new Challenge well Simon Says Stamps have one and an easy one too, Anything Goes. I've decided to use the present I sent to Lols.

I've used Stampavie Sarah Kay stamp called Isabelle with Puppy and you know I love these papers from First Edition called Isabelle.
The swirl is Magnolia and the border is EK Success Elegant Flourish border punch, I cut a 1 1/2 inch strip remember where you start and punch one side and then flip the strip over and start in the same place for the other side, the important part is to flip over the card.

Finished with some white flowers. I had to make the drawers since I don't have any match boxes but I followed the tutorial  here.

The sentiment is an old stamp I had a long time but I've used the Martha Stewart Cherish punch to make the frame. I then rolled up ribbon really tiny and found bits and pieces to fill the drawers before sending it off on its way to Lols.

Don't forget the fabulous prize for one lucky winner but you have to enter to be in with a chance.

Holiday Tuesday

So thats Christmas for another year, things went pretty well in our household and I got quite a few things I wanted. Even though it Holiday Tuesday here in the UK, Hubby is off to work with BIL and I can play in my craftroom once I've remove everything that was dumped in there.
Here's a new card which I made just before Christmas for the Sweet Sketch Wednesday. The one sheet of design paper is Echo Park and the fancy border is a Memory Box die that I got just before Christmas from Simon Says Stamps, I thought it might replace my favourite lace which I'm nearly running out of again.
The image is a digi from Saturated Canary called Nevaeh. I think you can just work out that I have glamour dusted her dress.
