Warts and all

Told you Mr Mojo had left the building, I wish I never used Olivia papers, I don't think they've going to be my favourites. Wished I never put that flower on but I thought it look plain.
I did think the spiral punch from Stampin Up worked especially for the type of card I made it for. I used the sketch from WOJ challenge.
You might wonder why if I don't like it do I blog it but I think I should show my warts and all and there are aspects of it I like.
I do have one card almost ready that I like, just need the stickles to dry.

  2. Oh Debby - you sound just like me, make a card then sit there pulling it to pieces!! If I didn't show my warts I hardly show any cards at all, don't think I've made a perfect card yet lol!!
Having said that I like it, love the bright colours, I can't do brights but I so admire people who can. Love the image and great sentiment.

  6. Hi Debby,
I like this card. It's not your usual mix of colours and it doesn't have a "Debby" feel to it but that doesn't make it a bad card. It's horrible when you feel a card just isn't right (I should know, I have the feeling frequently) but I think your being a bit harsh on yourself here.
    Hugs,

  7. Debby, I think you are being a little harsh on yourself hun - your work is always gorgeous - but you are a bit like me, you just know when you are not happy with something and you blame it on your mojo - but this card is lovely and I'm glad you showed it. Hugs, Claire x

  14. Hi Debby, maybe the papers are to harsh for the image, but then she is a supposed to be a working girl and you couldnt find anything more harsher. Anyway shes fabulous and youve coloured her beautifully. With love and hugs Shirleyxxxx

  17. Hi Debby

You know, I sat and looked at your card for a while after reading your comments and seriously, I love it! Really can't see anything wrong with it or anything I don't like, but then we are always our own worst critics aren't we.
    Have a great day!

  22. You sound as bad as I do when I look at some of my cards. We truly are our own worst critics. You did a fabulous, fantastic, awesome job! It all goes together beautifully. I stopped by to actually make a comment on another card, but saw this one and your message, and I had to comment.

I can tell your cards and projects because you do such an awesome job at shadowing. I'm getting a little better, but I'm nowhere near your league.

I can't remember the date or name of the card I came to comment about, but it was a young cowboy with frogs everywhere. I also really like "In the Garden", "Summer Fruit", and "Delovely Aashi". The boy's red vest and shirt look so realistic with the darker shading on the left. How do you get that effect? Another thing, I think I just notices, do you have more than one layer of images?

Anyway, however you do it, you are fantastic.

    TFS,

    Debra (dj1952)

Look at it with fresh eyes in another few days and it will look tons better LOL! I have just made a card that is too "busy" for me and not my usual style and hated it - left it a few days before looking at it again and you know what... i quite like it now LOL!

  37. Gosh Debby, I think you've been told!! Are you listening to everyone? LOL!! I love your card too. Maybe you're hard on yourself because it's little bit different from your usual style and colours? I actually love the brights, and I think you've tied all the elements together beautifully. Your tradmark 3D layering is wonderful as usual.
