It's Travel and Holidays for the challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and the first thing I thought of was this little mouse in his newspaper boat.
Unfortunately that was the best bit of motivation I've had all week and I've been really stuggling to make cards. And that blasted camera has done strange things to my ribbon would you believe it almost a lime green colour!
I got out some My Minds Eye paper that came in a huge stack and I've hardly touch any of it but now I'm not sure if I chose right or is it just that bit of ribbon that's spoiling the view.
I do love using different size flower punches and you're notice there's always three or an odd number that's because odd number embellies work better than even ones.
Do check out the DT there's always fabulous samples and they always seem to use a stamp I haven't got and desperately need.
Blimey your on a roll another fabulous, gorgeous card, stunning artwork as always.

Hi Debby
ReplyDeletefound your blog from Kath Stewart's.
The ribbon on your card may not look on the photo as it does it real life, but I think it and your card is absolutely fab.
Don't have a blog of my own, despite the afore mentioned Mrs Stewart trying to persuade me.
Adding your blog to my favourites right now.
Ann

this is fantastic honey, love these papers that you have used and the pretty flowers.. i agree that odd numbers work.. also i read somewhere that you should work in a triangle for it to be aesthetically pleasing to the eye... not sure how true that is.. lol...xxxx

ReplyDeleteI love your style, Debby! Every day I take a look on your blog. This card is so wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Jeannette
What a cute stamp, haven't seen that one before. I agree re odd number, same principle for plants in the garden. I wonder why odd numbers look best? Your last comment did make me smile. No matter how much we have there is always more stuff we need. Marianne x

ReplyDeleteAww this is so cute Debby! Fab papers and all the colours are great, I agree with you about odd number embellies - apparently it's because your mind trys to make patterns out of even ones rather than just settling on the over all image - scientific fact for you!!

ReplyDeleteHi Debby,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say that your card is gorgeous. I have a few questions to ask you. How do you get your patterned papers to look like they are jumping out of the page. Also, what punch did you use for the big flowers? Could you please email me the answer? dreamtimes@gmail.com Thanks.

I'm not real familiar with some things and I was wondering how you made the Penny Black stamped image to "pop" out of the card like that? Did you emboss ir some how or just use foam dots or something? This is absolutely too cute for words, by the way! :) THANKS!
