A couple of Gems

I had this Pink Gem Designs Santa coloured up for a colour challenge then realised I got the colours wrong but it seemed a shame not to use him. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday and the papers are Basic Grey although I don't know which one. The holly is a favourite of mine from the Christmas Cheer cartridge for the Cricut in fact its all I probably use it for.
Now my biggest concern is that its nearly June and this is the first Christmas card I've made this year only 99+ to go!
Now this is my blog and a record of all my makes and that includes Cross-Stitch. I was cross-stitching the Indian Maiden but didn't want to take it to Spain so I took this kit instead. Unfortunately that was a year ago and the other week when I was at my MIL I finally finished it.
I plan to send it to the Lovequilts UK and my next project for them will be Ivor the Engine just hope it doesn't take another year.

  2. What a lovely cross-stitch square you have made Debby and you are SO kind to stitch it for those children! I never heard of 'Lovequilts UK' but I went to their site and think it's a great initiative. Maybe something for myself to consider also, cause I like to stitch very much :) hugs, jolanda

Your cross stitch is beautiful, I used to do cross stitch (before I had children!) and I know just how long they take, but the end result is so worth it.

  37. Hi Debby, Gorgeous card! Love the cute Santa image and gorgeous BG papers. Also your X stitch is lovely - so sweet! I used to do a lot of X-stitching before I had the children but not so much now. I did, however, make my daughter a X-stitch Popcorn the Bear bookmark a few weeks ago and I had forgotten how addictive it is (I couldn't put it down lol!).
