Birthday Candles

I found this die in my MFT box and realise I never used them. So I cut them out with some MFT papers I have and yellow card for the flames but added a bit of orange ink to make them look lit.

The double stitched frame is again is MFT come to think of it so is the sentiment.

So I’ve been missing since we went to Weymouth for a week, we were so lucky with the weather, one wet day and one cloudy day. We found some lovely restaurants and cafes also lovely ice cream which we visited often.

While there we got a call to say our new two seater suite was in so the house is in a complete mess while we get our old suite picked up and carpet cleaned. Maybe doing our bedroom carpet wasn’t such a great idea but someone split orange juice.

Need to get back to card making asap have a wedding this month plus a really busy birthday month.

Game Controller (Green)

Another card I made that’s sitting in my drafts till it’s been delivered. I picked up the game controller dies from MFT at Sandown and the Birthday sentiment die is unbranded but I think it could be Penny Black.

The background I made myself after watching a reel on Instagram, you use circle punches or dies of different sizes and use it as a stencil. I then used some old Stampin Up stamps.

It was while making this card MFT opened the vault and re-released some dies including a headphone die so I had to get it.

Sailing

I needed a card for my Dad’s Birthday that I leave at the crematorium, so I pulled out an old boat Stampin Up stamp. I was inspired by a card on Pinterest which used a paint brush ark stamp in different colours thinking I had that stamp set. Oh no I didn’t but I found this stamp and thought I could use it a similar way.

I stamped the boat a couple times on another piece of white card so I could cut and layer the sails. Finally the sentiment is MFT and backed the image panel with Kraft card it is the same size all the way round still a dodgy photographer.

Tool Time

I think the receivers have now had their card and it’s safe to post now. I also made a red version. The tools and the background are both from MFT. I used silver card for the metal parts but found glue hated the shiny surface so used red double sided tape to stick the parts together.

The birthday sentiment is a Simon says Stamp it’s constantly in used especially for mens cards which swirly curly sentiments don’t work.

Extremely late at posting but we got up and went supermarket shopping before it’s gets mega busy, we didn’t need much so didn’t take too long but put me out sync. I wanted to make a card for my Dad to take to the Remembrance room at the crematorium for his birthday. So now all my June birthdays have been made so I will be thinking of  July Birthdays, majority of which are girl/women cards so shouldn’t be as difficult.
