Playing with a new die

Before we were all staying home I received a craft parcel and one of the item in it was this die from Memory Box called Pretty Blossom. The main reason I brought it because I though I could use the flower head, you just have to snip a couple of places to remove it from the stem.

I used the SSS Stitched Rectangles for the centre mat and I used it to cut my dotty paper. With the Tiny Words stamps to stamp the sentiment, a quick card to make.

Baby Flora

This will be the last image of B's that I've made for Mo Manning, next week couple of weeks I have  a couple of new ones before I start on C. Back to my image this one is Baby Fairy Flora Redux.

The papers are Echo Park Hello Baby It's a Girl not really sure the check ones behind the pretty purple one really goes but its well and truly stuck on.

The border round my circle is a My Favourite Things Crochet Border which is easy to snip at the edges to make a lovely border. The flowers are also MFT their Upsy Daisy dies still a firm favourite of mine. The leaves are a Poppy Stamps that look like a punch I have that doesn't work anymore but I used for weighting things down to help them stick.

Hope you're all coping with the social distancing and I feel a bit better since I found a way to make my brain to relax and not think other than listen to the words of a story while crafting.

Anything Goes

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Anything Goes
We are showcasing Gina K this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
The lovely folks over at Simon says Stamp are generously giving away a FABULOUS $50 voucher to shop at the  Simon Says Stamp Store! All you have to do is take out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the Inlinkz at the challenge Blog. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win! How AWESOME is that!! All winners are chosen randomly, so everyone has an equal chance to win! Woo Hoo!! Good Luck to everyone! The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

I've been hunting for a while trying to work out what pack of pattern paper I got the wooden effect one from and for the life of me I can't remember. I do have a pile of current ones from Simon says Stamps but which I simply can't find.

Meanwhile the gorgeous rose blossom is Gina K Savanah Rose stamp which I have fussy cut and layer. I colour with pencils just in case you're interested, I do have copics but they hurt my joints getting the lids off and on again.

I used the Stitched Rectangles from Simon says Stamp since it allows me to layer and mat my card.
The Love is their die and the words that are embossed with white embossing power is from the co-ordinating stamp set.

Honey Doo Flowers

When I went to Create It at Farnborough which seems ages ago now I brought these stamp and matching dies. I do feel I have the stamps but since I couldn't guaranteen that I had I brought them again. I have to say I haven't found them if I do have them.

The frame is Simon says Stamp but the lattice is Sunny Studio. My SSS stitched Banners didn't quite work with this particular sentiment.

Not my best card but it kept me busy and I was listening to my Audio Book so whenever that didn't help but it helps me.

Cornish Comfort

My Cornish Comfort is now finished and its one I plan to keep for me. The pattern is from Helen Shrimpton.

I have lots of odd balls of wool so I've decided to make a blanket using them for my next blanket but just in case I've recently order some more in hope we will still have deliveries.

I've finished my Thursday night project just need to get it photographed.

I have managed to get some card making done, I've brought the audio book to the book I'm reading and I put that on and my brain as to listen otherwise when I read it normally it won't make sense. It seems to be working for now.

Bunny with Basket

Today my card is a Happy Easter there was a sketch but whose and when I can't remember a lot as happened since then.

The sweet image is Bunny with basket from Mo Manning and the papers are Doodlebug.

The flower border is from Lawn Fawn and I cut the border a couple of time so I could cut of their flower heads to stick on my border. Sentiment is an old LOTV stamp.

So today card is for Simon says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and I'm using the Bunny Wishes. The Lawn Fawn's Spring Showers dies I used for my clouds and sunshine.

The sentiment is with the stamp set and using my favourite Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners and their Stitched Rectangles for Stitched to make a pretty stitch border.

The papers are Echo Park Hello Baby Boy

Bunny Cake

Last cards I made was last Wednesday for some challenges this week which I haven't photographed yet. I've been to a scrapbook retreat which while I'm so pleased I went, I've drawn the line today and we are trying to social distanting. Although I'm not over seventy I do have underlying medical conditions and hubby is in his sixties and suffers Asthma pressure from our children we will do our
best.

I will admit to be struggling with anxiety and making cards give me too much thinking time so I need to find something other than music to stop my brain going into overload. I'm also not going to mention this again just letting folks know how I feeling.

I'm sorry my card is a bit errrrr but it been in my drafts for weeks but the little My Favourite Things Bunny from their Sending Sweet Celebrations.

The papers are Doodlebug Simply Spring and it was cut using Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. The sentiment banner was made by using Simon says Stamp Sentiment Labels and I used their Picture Book Sky die for the clouds to try and break up the floral paper.

Mum to Be

I can't even do the splits but my niece can even when she is truly pregnant and what a beautiful beach scene as well.

The papers are some old Simple Stores to match the blanket. the page is decorated with Memory box crab, lobster and anchor die (try not to notice that a sticky fixers is stuck on one of my anchors).

For Tim

My nephew as decided to become a Vegan so it was only right to make him a card that involved farm animals. You can't go far wrong using a Penny Black one with a cow and hens.

I used the Simon says Stamp Wonky Frames but I turned it on the side so it would fit the top half of the card. Some dotty paper and a Scallop border to make the join look finish. Fish tail banner with an old LOTV sentiment stamp.

Boo and Tulips

I'm still on B for Mo's Dream Team but I've checked out some new Mo images and have two ready to be coloured so I may break my rules and use them oops.

But for today I've used Boo and Tulips, I love that I can cheat and barely colour the cat, although the fiddly tulips take the time to layer.

I matted the image onto a Spellbinder's fancy circle which I don't believe the make any more. The papers are possibly Echo Park or Doodlebug that I also used to paper piece my vase so bringing the card together.

The sentiment is an old LOTV one with some My Favourite Things Banners and decorated with Simon says Stamp Flickering Butterflies.

Use Some Green

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Use Some Green
We are showcasing LDRS this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
Ok I'm a sucker for Panda's ask to use a particular manufacture for a challenge and there are Pandas its in my basket. I have a Panda that I got when I was in my teens which I still have and love, we ignore he's wearing a Bay City Rollers scarf!

Anyway this lovely pair of Panda are LDRS Panda Play Stamps and they do dies too. I know my card is pretty simple but Mr Mojo has done a runner again, hope he comes back soon.

Where there's Panda's there Bamboo and I've used the Memory Box Bamboo Poles die. Since my card is CAS I've used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles, the large die allows me to have a bigger colour border round it.

Seriously I need to write down what sentiments I used because I always try to write what I use luckily this time I worked it out its Simon says Stamp Messages for Everyday.

She Gnome

After I had made the anniversary couple I used the new Simon says Stamps She Gnome for a card of her own.

The card is a simple layout with SSS Stitched Banners with the Simple Sentiments 2.

The papers are Carta Bella Home Again and I used the left over green hearts from her dress to decorate the very white and plain border.

Your a Star

I rather pleased how this layout worked out, I had limited supplies of the papers basically apart from the stripy piece the rest was scraps. Funny but I always seem to make a decent layout when I'm limited.

This is my Gt Nephew doing a charity run at school I think or it could something the village arranged.

The stars are My Favourite Things Stitched Stars with some random chipboard ones and the chipboard stickers are some random stash. The letters I brought from Hobby Craft I think they are American Crafts.

Peter Pan

First Saturday of the month means a new Mo's Digital Pencil challenge and this month is for GREEN.

I've used Mo's Peter Pan he does remind me of my Gt Nephew. I found a selection of green papers that seemed to work together and was inspired my the Splitcoast Sketch 788 but my circle is the Memory Box Circle of Leaves die. I also cut some other leaves to place on the corners of the starry paper.

I carefully fussy cut round the edges so the image as a white border to make it sure up among all the green.

Fingers cross this post schedules properly for me, lately I've been messing it up and publishing at the wrong dates and times. I've had to schedule because I'm off to crop and in a weeks time I'm going to a  Scrapbooking/Cardmaking Retreat.

Anniversary Gnomes

There is a brand new release at Simon says Stamp Lucky to Know You today and they sent me a She Gnome die and I couldn't be happier. She came just in time to make an Anniversary card  for Hubby.

I thought she would work better with the Large Gnome well it does in our house as I'm a little shorty and hubby is nearly 6 foot.

I used the Simon says Stamp Frames die with their Stacked Hearts. The Gnomes are sitting on the sentiment strip which I made myself I thought I'll give the Stitched Banners a rest but the sentiment is Simon says Stamp Simple Sentiments 2 .

I've had to schedule this post so I haven't got a link to the new release but if you go to the shop and along the top toolbar it as Simon's Release and you will find it listed there.

Baby Girl on the Blankie

So I thought this month's card Mo's Dream Team I would start with the letter B so that would be Baby Girl on the Blanket but I don't know how to keep that going with two fabulous new images in Mo's Shop.

The papers are Echo Park Hello Baby, the scallop border is an old Lawn Fawn one and the Hearts again its an old die from Penny Black.

The sentiment is a LOTV ones that you can now buy the Digi for although I still have the stamps. Ribbon out of my endless supply.

Polkdoodles

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Screen-Shot-2018-11-14-at-10.49.02-1-600x114.png
Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us last week and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
This week the challenge is Something Feminine
We are showcasing Polkadoodles this week, which just so happens to be Simon says Stamp Brand of the Month.
The Design Team is looking forward to seeing your crafty makes and will pop around to visit you ASAP!

Now you know I love images to colour especially if they are large enought to layer which is exactly what I did with Polkadoodles Ruby.

I also have the Polkadoodles Scrumptious Sugar papers which work for the stripy background and for the Simon says Stamp Large Holiday Shapes.

The scallop background is a Frilly Frames Lattice from Sunny Studio but I only use the scallop part. Then I trimmed the image mat to fit inside the stitched line.

Finally the sentiment is using Simon says Stamp Message for Everyday with their Stitched Banners.

Bunny Time

I was inspired to make this card used Freshly Made Sketches423 although I think my circle could have been smaller but I wanted a frame round the image which is why I used Simon says Stamp Stitched Circles.

The papers are Doodlebug last Spring ones and I cut some Simon says Stamp Stitched Banners to make them. The Daisy border was using the Peeking Daisy die but cut out the daisies to make the border. Luminary Circles made the yellow centres and the Simon says Stamp Tiny Words Birthday for the sentiment.

Finally the sweet bunny image is from MFT Easter Bunnies stamp set and I do indeed have the dies for these ones.

I have now switched moderation commenting on any post that is more than 14 days old in hope to cut down on the spam. I do report it but it is sooo annoying, I'm afraid if it continues I may have switch to comment moderation for everything.
