Anything Goes challenge does leave you open with what to do, in the end I decided to use the Clearly Besotted Warm Solutions, I also had the matching dies, so to start I stamped the cups in a few colours and using the die cut them out.
I now had a pile of cups and made four cards, two of which I blogging today. My first one is using the Splitcoast Stampers SC559 sketch. To start with I used the Simon Says Stamps Bundle of Shapes die and then cut out the circle using the Simon Says Stamps Stitched Circles. I made my red cup straight and made the others haphazard along side it. Used the sentiment that came with the stamps job done.

This was actually the last card I made and had these cups left, I could of done with a blue cup but I used them all on another card, but I kinda like the bright cards I made with them.
This time I used the large Scallop die from Avery Elle Sweet Scallops set and I cut my white mat to fit. This time I used Doodlebug Sunkissed paper pack and using the Simon Says Stitched Oval made my dotty frame and I used the die to make the mat in the centre. The fish tail banner for the sentiment I made by cutting free hand. I cut into the cups so that they slotted into each other. The cups and sentiment is using the same as the first card.
I promise to show the two other cards soon.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Circles

I've decided to schedule today's post since I having a job to wake up in the mornings due to pills that are suppose to help me sleep just wish they would at the right time.

This weeks Everybody Art challenge is for Circles, I'm guessing it depends how you interpret the theme but has you can see I have a circle for my image and used a large Scallop circle folded in half to make my base.

I've used a Di Digi that has been waiting in the wings (in my coloured image folder) to be used into a card. The papers are some old Stampin Up ones and my leaves are CC Designs with some tiny punch flowers. Yes I'm back doing simple cards, although to layer my images generally takes 40 minutes plus this includes cutting out, inking the edges with a pen, embossing and sticking.

Do pop over and check out the team and hope you can join us this week.

I'm pretty impressed with myself I made another couple of cards so thats this weeks DT cards done now for some Conveyor Belt Style Christmas Cards today and then back DT cards for next week.

Crazy Spooky

I made this card a few weeks ago, still not sure about it the original card was a failure but I didn't want to throw away my crazy bird so this is what I came up with.
I think we all know who makes the Crazy Bird stamp and my oval is Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval.
I made the scene and then cut the oval die over it. I did have to trim with scissor especially round the moon which is like three pieces of card.
The trees are Memory box and my spider is a stamp from the Not so Spooky from Simon Says Stamp but I stamped it twice and cut the body to add to my card. Normally I would add some goggly eye but I was now thinking about thickness if I had to post the card.
The brownish paper is patterned but I can't think where I got it from.
So yesterday I made a couple cards both for DT work but nevertheless it felt good. I also coloured some images too but since Hubby asked how many Christmas Cards I had done they were winter images be warned lots of Snowflakes and Holly coming soon.

The Kevin Twins

I'm having a rest from Minions now these two are now in the hands of two little boys. Eventually I will make another for my nephew he's only two and bit and he can't quite work out the one eye Stuart so he needs a Kevin!
I'm sorry I've been a bad blogger and to be honest I can't see it getting any better. Last weekend was lovely but its taken till now to feel normal for me and I haven't been in my craftroom for over a week.

Stitched Sunflower!

Yes the weekend has taken its toll and I haven't been in my craftroom yet this week and there's not many cards in my drafts again.
Here's another card using the Simon says Stamp Stitched Daisies. I'm sure I was starting from a sketch but I'm not sure where from. I used Simon says Stamp Stitched Squares no idea why I decided to layer them crooked but I liked it.
I used the Simon says Stamp Cluster Leaves underneath my flower and the sentiment is from Its my Birthday sentiments again from Simon Says stamp. Finally placed on the large rectangle from the Stitched Bundle of Shapes.
The weekend was brilliant, the sun came out after the marriage service we were all chillin' in the courtyard with some Pimms and Champagne and of course the Bride looked beautiful.
My sister and family had great weather for the surprise weekend at rental house by the sea and we gate crashed their Sunday Lunch all planned of course. Glad we left Rye early are journey was taking us through Brighton and the rugby was on so it took longer than expected.
Yes we did pop into Hobbycraft and Haskins before coming home.

Triple Stamping

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Die Crazy Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

NO DESIGNER PAPER

you can make your own patterned paper, just no pre printed designs.
We are showcasing TAILORED EXPRESSIONS PRODUCTS this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

First of all my Taylored Expression stamp I brought was Simply Stamped Zinnia and I stamped my large Zinnias in the middle and added smaller ones round the main flower.
I then used the large stitched rectangle from the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes and once that was done I used three of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval dies to cut out the the ovals.
Once cut out, I then cut out the ovals separately and stuck the stamped ovals onto them this allowed me to be able to layer my stamped oval easier. Hope that made sense.
My Simon Says Stamp Thank You die I used in white and gold, also I manipulate so it went round the oval.
I wish now I brought the dies to help my large Zinnia pop, never mind.

My Best Friend

Yesterday was my Sister's Birthday and she is away enjoying time with her family and not skydiving has we have been kidding her for the last few months.
Of course we knew where she was staying and we gatecrashed their Sunday Lunch and have arranged to stay overnight in the area. So I still away and still scheduling my post.
This time its my Sister's card, I used the sweet Summer Sisters from Mo with some Penny Black Papers.
I printed of some words to with my die cut words and numbers and by the time I added another favourite of mine the foliage from Memory Box and the punched flowers the job was done.
Sometime this morning we will be back after an extremely busy weekend and now doubt I will crash out when I get home.

Wedding Love

Well the card has been delivered not sure the Bride and Groom had time to open it yet but I can safely post it now.
I've used the fabulous image from Tiddly Inks and I used my favourite Floral Oval for the image.
Its quite plain because once the Avery Elle Love die was added it didn't need much more.
The patterned paper is from LOTV and I added the LaLa Land corner dies to help draw your eyes to the image.
I've obviously had to schedule this post because we stayed overnight in Rye.

STAMPtember Grab Bag

Stamptember-Blog-Hop-600x264

Remember those grab bags well a random winner from my blog has been chosen its

How to find out how to get your prize and to check the full list which can be found on the  Simon Says Stamps Blog

Warm Wishes

I may have not made many cards this week but I did manage a Penny Black one. The papers are some Lawn Fawn ones and I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle but only to make the background a bit interesting.
I also used the Simon Says Stamps Stitched Oval and cut out the mat by drawing round the die. I added the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop border but its hidden by my image.
At this point I was at a lose to know what to do next so I added a Simon Says Stamp Snowflake and then decided to use the Penny Black Let it Snow die and with the ribbon it didn't need anything more but I did add a few pearls because my eye kept slipping to the plain corner.

Together

Recently its been Heidi from Simon Says Stamp birthday, now I know it arrived late and safe I thought its time for me to post the card.
Last year the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge team that lived in the UK met up with Heidi and Stephanie in London. We spent quite a bit of time taking photos of us all together and this Art Impression stamp reminded me of that day. I loved the sentiment and it had to be used too.
I used the Simon Says Stamps Stitched Ovals and the Wavy Scalloped Stitched border along with the Happy die. Not forgetting I used the Doodlebug paper.
This morning I'm off to swimming and then making sure the camera is charged for tomorrow's wedding at Rye.

Janny Bookmark

Its time for September's Dream Team Blog Hop using Kaly's theme of Anything but a card.

Since I've been a bit up and down this week I cheekily decided on an easy Bookmark well it was easy then I got out the Stamping Butterfly stamp so it took longer than I thought it would.
The actual bookmark is a Scrapling that I have over when cutting square cards out, so it folds over the page. I used Janny Texting because she sitting on books and was a tall image. I had some Lawn Fawn dies that had the scallop oval and matched dotty edge oval that the image fitted into.
I added the ribbon so it hangs under the pages but it didn't work with the book I found (Its an illustrated Watership Down Hardback) its larger than a paperback but since I read on an e reader or kindle actual books are in short supply.
The patterned paper is Doodlebug can't believe I cut into a whole square of paper.
Now you should have come my way from Julie and
now your need to HOP SKIP and JUMP over to LOU

Don't forget there are two $5 gift vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to be drawn from someones comments so make sure you comment on everyone in the blog hop posts.

Die Crazy

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the STAMPtember® Stamp It Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher and grab bags
This week the challenge is

DIE CRAZY

you must use at least one die cut on your creation. If you don't have any dies then you can used punched shapes.
We are showcasing W PLUS 9 PRODUCTS this week. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I brought the cute Giraffe's from Wplus9 when I heard we showcasing this company I had planned to cut them out but then later I read it was a Die Crazy challenge so I then had to order the dies.
The Stamp set is called Party Animal but I reckon they could easily be used for a baby card too.
So first off I cut out a circle using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle and inked it Blue and Green and used the die to draw round to make the blue mat.
It just so happened that Santa on the Beach arrived in my craft room and I spied Palm Trees and that it could work to help produce a little scene. To finish I need some Clouds so I immediately grabbed my My Hearts Soars and used the clouds from this set. The birds came with the W9plus Party Animal set.
The little scene was placed on a Simon Says Stamps Stitched Rectangles and the patterned paper Echo Park I love Sunshine.

Pumpkins

I made some cards with the new Stamptember goodies that Simon Says Stamp sent me and I thought it would be a good idea to show them before Stamptember finishes.
I received Not so Spooky and hit a snag right away no Halloween paper, so I simply cut strips out scraps and stuck them to some thin card stock but I reckon copy paper would do too. Then I trimmed to even the sides and used the Simon Says Stamp Wavy Stitched Scallop border.
So now I had something for my Pumpkins to sit on. The black corner annoyed me so I added some eyes.

Singing in the Rain

Mmmm that glossy accents puddle doesn't show up that well.
Anyway this is my card for this weeks Everybody Art Challenge of Singing in the Rain.
I've used Mo's Splash of course I needed to paper piece her coat and hat.
The papers are Doodlebug I think its a Springtime pack.and I used the Wavy Stitched Scallop Border but I cut it off stitched scallop on the patterned paper and cut it out again out of plain card.
The flowers are EK success and a circle punch for the centres.
The sentiment is a Elizabeth Craft dies and I cut it out in a scrap piece of white then layered the matching card stock.
Do pop over and check out the team and hope you can join us this week.

Pink Stitched Daisies

Even I couldn't resist buying some Simon Says Stamps Stamptember goodies especially when I saw the Stitched Daisies I knew they would be coming home to me.
I had to use them to see how they would work. I cut them out twice to layer in some pink card that was to hand.
They needed some leaves so I used the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves. The first card I used the  a scrap of Doodlebug paper for the side with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders with the Simon Says Stamps Its Your Birthday sentiment stamps.

The first Daisy is the largest and this card shows off the size of other two. Again with the clustered leaves and Its Your Birthday sentiment stamps.
They could be my favourite dies of the Stamptember release.

My name is Stuart

No Scrapbooking haven't unpacked my bags yet, probably be the only time I will be in my craftroom today. At the crop someone mention that yesterday was International Crochet Day so I thought I show Stuart instead.
Because my yellow wool is thinner than my blue even though they are both DK I used a larger hook for the yellow and add a couple of extra rows for the dungarees when using the small hook, it seems to work out.

Apparently he's a bit partial to a glass of wine but it does give you an idea how small/large he is.

Here he is with his little minion friend. They are both in the hands of my Gt Nephew interesting when asked to give one away it Stuart with his one eye that he's happy to do with. Obviously he doesn't get one eyed minion. I'm now making a couple of Kevin's who has two eyes for my DD who wants them for her friend's sons but I have to the 26th to get them done.

Friday there's was a surprise for my sister's 70th which is not till a week today but there's a surprise weekend next week which is why she can't go to my nephew's wedding but that will be where I am.
