Front Door

The challenge on Less is More is to use your Front Door for inspiration and I wanted to make an actual door not sure why but I thought it could be simple and quick to make.
First off I don't have door to so I printed one on the reverse and used that as a guide I embossed the lines of the door. Stupid me wanted half an oval for the top like my door next time just going for smaller rectangles and I most certainly wouldn't try and bend peel off.  It doesn't look very professional but I wasn't going to make another door this was a second one as it is.
Then of course you need a door step, possibly not as big as this and somehow it went crooked but now I wanted the card finished.
So I added a fence and some flowers and grabbed the Penny Black sentiment  now I'm thinking I may have overdone the CAS guidelines.
Oh well for a bit of experiment it worked quite well and I've worked out what not to do next time.

  7. Debby - this is a stunning piece of work! How clever to have made your door using scoring like that and the pop of colour in the window is a touch of genius. I love the way the white on white keeps the card nice and CAS and your sentiment is also the perfect choice too. Can you tell I like this LOL?! Vicky x

  34. This is such a clever and well done card! Had to laugh at your comment in regard to "bending" peel offs. I tried that on a card one time. It's now on my "never do again list...smile.
