See what I mean I had a pair of those shoes but they're were black, so if this is a Vintage Sarah Kay does that make me vintage too!
I do seem to be having issue with the camera or it could be the light. The sketch is Friday Sketchers and the papers are My Minds Eye. Flowers are from Wild Orchid and the swirl is the magnolia one but cut up to fit. The sentiment is from Penny Black its in a transparent pack.
Nice to wake up to find Mr Darcy has won his Oscar, congratulations Colin Firth.

It's all in the circles
I missed the LOTV challenge last week so I was going to make sure this week I would be able to join in. Their challenge is for Circles and there is a fab sketch this week on Cute Card Thursday so everything tied in.
The papers are Prima, the flowers are punches and I've used the Cherish MS border punch and MS deep edge doily daisy punch for round the circle.
I'm not really happy with this card and I think the cute LOTV fairy saves the day.
Now when I said I was going shopping with my Sis it wasn't to the Make it Show even though Si lives in Farnborough we made this decision after last years show which we were so disappointed with.
So that was the reason we did The Craft Barn-The Glitter Pot-Crafts U Love trip last week.
It was hard to think there was a craft show a hop, skip and jump away but we did pop in The Art of Craft who was having a second hand craft sale.
This is where I've got some cheap Penny Black before and though I think most have been brought I managed to find 3 and even though they weren't 50p bargains I got them for a tenner and we all know how much they cost new.
I actually shopping experience was at Basingstoke which cost me a fortune which happens whenever my Sis take me shopping and she barely spent anything.

Lace and Pearls
So last week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge it was one for the boys and this week its really for the girls with Lace and Pearls as our theme challenge.
I've used this old Penny Black stamp that I brought second hand for 50p and I've used My Minds Eye Stella and Rose pad. Hiding under all my retro flowers is some lace and when I finished the card I suddenly remembered I had to use pearls, lucky for me I found a couple spots where they would sit quite happily.
Some great prizes this week from Fantastic ribbons and PB STAMPS and don't forget to check out the DT.
Another quickie post, out with my Sis today.

Vintage Sarah Kay!!!!
I do have an issue with these new Sarah Kay stamps from Stampavie, they call them Vintage and I'm sorry but I remember flares that we now call bootleg! I've also got the SK with platform shoes it was only 30 odd years ago and I remember them well its amazing I didn't break an ankle or two.
Now I've got that off my chest here's a bit of quick card and I may have to photo it again cos the light is on her face and it looks a bit odd.
The papers are Bo Bunny, the sketch is Papertake Weekly, the flowers yet again EK Success retro flower and finished with a Craftwork card sentiment inside the Stampin Up punches.
Really crossed with the camera cos it look so much better in RL.
A huge Thanks you to Anne of Stamps and Paper for the fabulous award, do pop over and check out her blog she look Penny Black too.

Basic Grey Bella
My Team-mate Heather from Simon Says Stamps Challenge has created a fabulous sketch for Basic Grey Challenge so how I could I not use this week.
I used a Bella stamp that I brought at the weekend, love her curly hair, the flowers were a bit fiddly to cut out but it needed to be done.
The papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch, the borders is the deep edge doily punch again. It actually looks like a daisy border but I cut it lengthways to make the doily frame.
I had to use a embossed mat because all the papers left were a bit too dark, couldn't find my Pink souffle pen to dot the middles.
I did have a bit of senior moment cos the mat in the middle shouldn't go right across and when I remembered it was all stuck down, oops.
Do love how she turned out and she will work for Birthday Wishes on A spoonful of Sugar.

WOYWW & Scrapbooking
The mess is back in the craftroom, this is how I've left it while I wait for some glue to dry, will have to venture back to tidy up a bit so I can finish the card but you can't see it cos I always seemed to be making a DT card on WOYWW. Obviously I'm a bit predictable.
But I can show a Scrapbook page that I made at a crop, actually completed, usually I bring layouts back and add finishing touches.
Anyway this was a sketch from Sarah Cards Blog and since I love doing them cos they help me get started on a page, this is how it finished.
Not sure on the brought embellishments, I rarely use them and even though I inked them, cut of a bit of one cos it didn't match, my eye is still draw to them. But I do love the money even though the coins didn't want to stick and I was using glossy accents.
If you want to see more Vegas pages their on my other blog All in One Place.
Coffee and Cream
Its a Coffee and Cream challenge over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and the DT is showcasing Whiff of Joy stamps which Simon Says Stamps sells.
I don't mind colour challenges but anyone who knows me I'm a hoarding of paper and I couldn't think of any would meet this challenge that doesn't mean I don't have any and the thought of going through all of them, well last I did that it took all day!!!
So I have a cd from Bearly Mine Designs to get me out of trouble, its all in colour themes, simples.
What a good job for nestabilities and for Simon Says Stamp who sells nearly all of them, along with a huge collection of Martha Stewart punches. I wouldn't be without my deep edge doily punch which I cut lengthways to make the border round the oval.
The flowers are actually Hero Arts which I got from Simon Says Stamps but they also have loads of gorgeous Prima flowers too. I've recently received an order from Simon Says Stamps with some Prima to use on DT cards but they're so gorgeous its going to hard to force myself.
I do hope you can join us and be in with a chance to win this fabulous prize and check out the DT and I do believe we have another new Teamie.

For a Girl
It's mine turn to Host a Challenge on High Hopes Challenge blog and having made a few Mens cards lately I decide on a Female Birthday.
I wanted to use Laurie's sweet mice and the fabulous sunflowers and once again I'm using Echo Park Little Girl, trying to use them up before I open the Springtime pack I brought at the weekend but we will see how long I can bear to wait.
The mice took a bit to work out how to layer made a bit more difficult cos they overlap.
Do pop over to the challenge blog and see what wonderful creations the Divas have created.
Looking for my EAC card see the post below.
EAC Sketch
We have a sketch this week on Everybody Art Challenge from Alex. Its a beautiful sketch but the papers I chose gave me such a headache and in the end I didn't use any.
The fabulous fairy is from LOTV and I've glitter her wings and use a clear glitter pen on her dress none of which shows up in the photo.
The frame is a Martha Stewart around the page punch, a touch of blue and I've used a Crafts too embossing folder with the butterflies on. The flowers and butterflies are all punches, everything is finished with a fab sentiment from LOTV layered using my nestabilities.
Don't forget to pop over and check out the DT and I look forward to checking out your creations.
Like to thank Angie for the fabulous award, really kind of you.
Phew the body is returning to normal and now I've got to stop stroking my new goodies and actually use them.

Wrap a Hug
Wasn't sure I was going to be able to make a card for today, especially taking pain pills they make me want to sing Space Oddity. So I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday this week and just went with the flow.
I had to put some ribbon on it, so that doesn't really match the sketch but don't tell anyone.
I love the square mat in the sketch cos it meant I could use my Cherish round the page punches. Of course my image is a Penny Black Hedgie, I see the camera is doing what it likes and making my Hedgie's Pink ribbon look an odd colour.
The sentiment is Penny Black too, perfect for this image don't you think. Papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch and flowers are EK Success punches, the tiny dot in the little flower is the large size of my cropadile.
Had a really lazy Sunday did manage to make another card this time for a DT but going with the flow wasn't such a good idea cos it doesn't work for that particular challenge now, whoops.

Sarah Kay Sunday
Afraid a little worse for wear today so this will have to be a quick post. My card today is using the sketch on Friday Sketchers and having seen the new Sarah Kays lately reminded me how much I love the old ones.
My papers are Echo Park Little Girl. I did have an issue with the sketch I cut the image mat so I couldn't use thread or ribbon like the sketch. But I don't it worked out too badly adding a strip.
Yes I did get that phone call and helped that the day was dark, dank and dreary, wet too, we probably spent far too much to cheer ourselves up, well thats my excuse.
Not only did we make it to The Glitter Pot after a spot of lunch at a garden centre we made it to Crafts U Love too which it could be said was on the way home!
I've got this award from Maggie @ Maggie's Crafts, I need to write 7 things about me but will do that later cos I have probs with typing today.

A Gem of a Wedding
Today is the new challenge on A Gem of Challenge and this week its a theme Button, Brads, Bead and Bows, now you can use one, two, three or if you feeling really brave all four.
I settled for brads for the centre of the flowers, beads on Miki suit and if its it my card there would be a bow somewhere.
The papers I've used is Echo Park Be Mine and the flowers are EK Sucess, stamen punch is one I got from a craft show I think it may be Leon-Em.
The stamps are Miki and Kaya from Pink Gem Designs.
I've drawn my Pink Gem Candy using the random thingy.

From the Girls
The challenge this week at Penny Black Saturday Challenge is Cards for Men, I can hear you groan all the way here. But you know they have to be done eventually so why not take this opportunity to join us, at least you in for a chance of winning some fabulous stamps.
Now this stamp fell into my basket a few weeks ago when I was trying to get free postage well thats my excuse.
The papers are Echo Park, Little Boy, I couldn't bring myself to hide the button paper so stitched them like they were real buttons. Usual suspects for a Mans card the zigzag Martha Stewart punch and some buttons.
Check out the DT for inspiration and we would love you to join us.
Fingers crossed I'm waiting for a phone call to say we're off to the Craft Barn and hopefully the Glitter Pot well its on the way home, it is if I'm doing the navigating.

Fairy Friday
I love sketches and love the ones Bev create and the one on Wild Orchid Challenge is no exception. I had to use this cute LOTV fairy along with the sentiment.
The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye and the flowers are from Wild Orchid too. The flower soft was used on the dandelion and stickles were used on her wings and dress so I can enter the Papertake Weekly Challenge.
I'm really pleased how she turned out but the camera is making the colours all look a bit odd.
Well the weekend is upon us no plans as yet.

Friday Sketchers on a Thursday
There was no way I could miss Bev's sketch on Friday Sketchers, with various images coloured I chose this cute one from High Hopes.
She was coloured in to match the Prima Madeline papers, which include the words that I used for the circle in the sketch. I knew I had to use it but I cut off the flowers surrounding the words and mat and layered my colours.
I still not sure if I like the bare corner at the bottom, I keep thinking I should put a sentiment there but that would detract from the word circle. So I stepped away from the card.
Not much crafting done yesterday was playing with Tim Holtz distress inkpads and made a lot of mess instead it will be a while before you're see the results but although I pleased with my attempts I don't think I will be replacing Sir Tim anytime soon.
If you like High Hopes stamps why not pop over to the challenge blog and see the fabulous tutorial by Tanya its so cute.

WOYWW
So once again for WOYWW I'm out of my craftroom and into my living room. To show you what I use for colouring. I've had quite a few e-mails asking which copic or pro-markers colours I use. Which is compliment but I don't use them. I tried pro-markers but I struggled with the lids and even if they do loosen my shoulders wouldn't last out till they do.
The copics lids are better but I don't have the patience to learn to colour to my standards, when I get the results I want from Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.
This scary tin of pencils were brought a couple of years ago from the US at a time I rarely brought from overseas not least on e-bay too. Now days I buy Prismacolour from 1buy1pencil where I buy them individually when certain colours need replacing. They come wrapped up in huge bit of bubble wrap because the leads are so delicate.
Which is why in the Really Useful box is my Polychomos that I buy from Hobbycraft not sure if that is the cheapest place but I've managed to slowly build up a collection because you buy them individually too. The reason I use them is one they don't break that easily, two they're probably easier to buy and since the leads are harder they are better to use in small places.
Of course you can't use pencils without Paper Stumps which I buy whenever I see them and the sansodor is in the little pot because you only need the stump damp. So I use a make up sponge (poundland) in what use to be a doodlebug flower pot with a lid . This means I don't need a bottle around me to knock over especially has my pencils live on the sofa so I can colour in the evenings and LISTEN to the telly.

Make you Own
Well we have a fab challenge over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge to make your own embellishments. I couldn't wait for another chance to use the fab Hero Arts spotty flowers I got from Simon Says Stamps.
Also Simon Says Stamps are selling Belles and Whistles stamps including this little darling I used today. The papers are Prima the 6inch Sweet Fairy pack. I also used the Martha Stewart lace doiliy punch but I may have to another spend at Simon and replace it cos it wasn't very happy with me or maybe I just stick to deep edge doiliy punch.
Maybe my flowers are a bit of large size and should have used just used the little flower but I do love those flower stamps.
Do pop over to the challenge blog and see the fabulous creations the DT have done and don't forget if you join us you have a chance to win this.Well DS came home to us last night and is hobbling around. He's main problem he was straving.

EAC Recipe
We've a recipe over on Everybody Art Challenge today, 3 papers and and 3 flowers. While hunting for a particular stamp I found this cute Greeting Farm one unopened so I thought I would use her, never did find the stamp I wanted though.
The papers are Deja Views and I used two papers to mat and the flowers are punched out with another.
Then I realised she has flowers in her hair but we going to have to pretend they are not there!
I do hope you can join us at Everbody Art Challenge and pop over and check out the DT for inspiration.
DS is having keyhole surgery on his knee this afternoon so not sure if I will be able to settle to craft while worrying about him.

Just a Magnolia Sketch
I do like it when a card turns out better than you thought and thats whats happened with this one. I used the sketch on Just Magnolia and one of last years Easter Tilda.
The papers are Fine and Dandy from My Minds Eye, I've used the Deep edge Martha Stewart doily punch for round my oval and Ek Success flower punches.
To finish a piece of lace and of course not forgetting a bit ribbon.
I had quite a sucessful day yesterday at Scrapbuddies crop, just need to finish one layout I started, put the finishing touches on a double layout and one completely finished.
But its back to cardmaking today.

BG meets LOTV
Several of my favourite challenges have sketches so I had a pretty hard job working out which one to do. Finally I decided on Dawny sketch on LOTV challenge. The papers are Basic Grey Hopscotch which are very busy so I had to keep the embellishments fairly plain.
The image is obviously LOTV but aren't they cute.
So hopefully Mr Blogger will behaving and post this for me. I'm off to Scrapbuddies Crop this morning but I have to be dropped off early so my Sis can take cos the boys are working. Fingers crossed some more pages for my Vegas Scrapbook will get done.
