No cards today because my Sis made me help her do some layouts for a project she doing, but this is my layout I did on Saturday for the sketch competition. You had the sketch and 1 hour to complete it, I was please how mine turned out, there was 11 of us who completed and everyone's looked very different. I didn't win, our friend Nikki did, who I think is a brilliant scrapbooker and really does make gorgeous layouts.
Have to unpack all my craft stuff and sort out my room which looks like a bombs hit it and then I can craft.

Christmas Angels
Now I did warn you that a few christmas cards could be on the way although I thinks I should of used cute paper instead of BG Figgy Pudding. The sketch is a Katharina's sketch for Papertake Weekly and the Angels are Judi-kins, probably my favourite christmas stamps.
Had a fantastic day at MJ crop yesterday and today at my Sis, so hopefully to finish more project from Scrap-a-ganza
Sugar for Saturday
A Spoon full of Sugar challenge is for checks, so in my scrap box was this pretty check paper and the floral paper and I thought rather than pink matts I try this sort of peachy colour which appear in the papers, not really sure it works. The flowers are a bit too straight but I decided that too late and the whole thing was stuck firmly with DST, of course using a Sweet Ebony stamp everything is forgive because she makes any card beautiful. I coloured the image with watercolour pencils and used one of Katharina's sketches.
We are off to a crop at Thatcham, we usually go to Bristol which is quite far too go just for the day so we thought we give this one a try, it came with a FairyKaren recommendation so we know who to blame!

Driving me crazy
I know this is not my best but the first two ended in the bin, how can flowers not work! A bit of masking and watercolouring, used some gel pens for the centres which when photo the orange colours goes weird. Anyhow this is for the Tilda & Friends ATC challenge for summer bloom.
Last week is was for Midsummer Nights's dream and with my mojo somewhere back in Stratford last week, I just couldn't think of anything. But I've brought some new embossing folders which included a spider web and I wanted to try it out and Halloween is still a bit away. I used some DCWV cardstock ideal, cos it has a white core with the folder, chopped it to size, it look OK, then added the moon and toadstool. I used some glitter on the moon, then added a bit to the toadstools and then just went madon the web and it really came alive. So I know it late but better late than never.
This is what I brought from Cuttingedge crafts ordered Wednesday lunch time, despatched an hour and half later and arrived yesterday and all free postage. Now when I grab a folder the rest of them don't full ontop of me.

Thursday already.
OK who forgot to remind me that yesterday was Rudolph day, so you've been warned there could be some Christmas Cards coming soon.
I have been sort of trying to keep up with the challenges not sure where the week has gone. The first one is for CPS #70, wasn't sure about this one, I wanted to make a frame, tried with lace, punches still didn't like it so I going to try ribbon when I saw these flowers and it worked. The Sweet Ebony image is coloured with watercolour pencils. Papers are doodlebug.
Now the Ismaki #25 is from Malin whose on the Magnolia DT now I didn't have a clue with this sketch but I had this cute pair from Sugar Nellie ready coloured and wheres everyone is using flowers for the circles etc I've used some papermania chipboard that I've had for ages but for the whole thing to work I turned the sketch 90 degrees and used some of my new ribbon. Message to Manue, have tried to e-mail you but they keep being returned to me but thanks for the lovely comments.
Recently I received my P60 and realised I was paying more tax than when I was working, so I got in touch with Tax Office and yesterday a nice cheque arrived. There was no way I would be allowed to use all of it for craft shopping but I thought I would get something I want but don't really need. So I've brought cuttlebug binder to put all my embossing folders in and maybe there was a cricut cartridge I fancied too.

Sweet & Sassy
I love Daisy Bucket papers they're ideal for card making, all my pink and green ones are gone so I have the rusty colour way and a bit of purple left. So I used the rusty one for this Sweet Ebony stamp Sassy, I used my new watercolours pencils plus my old ones because I still find it hard after years of use to give up on my old one fully. I used a glitter gel pen for the flowers centres and the little doodle flowers and the sentiment was cut out of the cricut. I only have the small cricut so to get little letters I cut tags and use the waste letters if you know what I mean. The sketch is from Stamp Something Challenge this week, although Sassy was a bit large to follow it completely.
Look at this wonderful bundle of ribbons and flowers and many thanks to Dawn P who mentioned on her blog that Poppicrafts had 15% off at the weekend and you know you can't have enough ribbons and flowers.

Just want to wish two of my Scrapbuddies to get well soon, Jemina Puddleduck who was admitted to hospital at the weekend but now back at home and Valelady who is recovering from having a new knee fitted. Hope to see you soon guys.

Dottie Tilda
This is better, the challenge on Tilda & Co is for dots, so using the last of the Daisy Bucket pink papers with dots on, I've paper pieced her dress and I used the quickutz flourishes. The oval embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dots and I also used the embossed flower border folder and popped some pearls on the flowers. The card would also work for Suzanne blog candy she wants a pink and brown card made, also Jacqueline has some candy too. The card is square and straight blame the photographer again.
Fun day today off to the dentist that will make a dent in my craft money or you never know I might need some comfort shopping.

1st Birthday.
I do'nt make cards to order, I was asked once and I thought it would take the fun out of making them. I make cards that I love and if I put them in a baggie with envelope and give them to Sis or my Mum and if someone buys them well thats a great bonus. I really do admire those who have to make cards to feed their addiction but at the moment I don't have to. So when I was forced to make a card to order, I had put it off till now when I had no choice but make it and by the end of it, I had an awful headache because I was so stressed out whether it was good enough, I moved paper dozen of times, moved the flower so often that I lost count and I'm still not sure about it.
So when I finished making it I closed the craft room door and escaped.

Where's the sun, Sunday
While trying to catch up with blog hopping someone pointed me in the direction of a new blog challenge Our Creative Corner and they had a sketch and you know I love sketches. I used the cuttlebug borders instead of ribbons. I think I running late with challenge but you know I can't resist a sketch and in fact Katharina has one her blog too.
Now do you have some mini crafters who would love a challenge blog for themselves well look no farther because Hannah and Zoe with the help of their Mums launching a challenge blog for the under 16 on the 27th June called Crafty Monkeys. I think its a great idea only wish I had a crafty monkey to join in.

Paddling in June
I've notice that a lot of magnolia addicts have been using this cutie and I'm ashamed to say even she couldn't help my mojo when she arrived at the begining of the week. So I've put this right by using her for Friday Sketchers #7, the sketch is from Mumur check out her blog loads of gorgeous stuff. The colours for Tilda was inspired by the bubble paper which was out of my goodie bag at Scrapaganza and the sending Sunshine sentiment is Hero Arts clear stamps.
I want to make cards like this or this or maybe like her.

I made a card
Yes I've made a card, losing my creative streak has made it hard to get back into the saddle so to speak. So I grabbed a butterfly stamp and used some papermania paper, that way if it looks yuck I wouldn't feel guilty bining it. I used the CPS #69 and kept it simple the hardest thing was to get the aqua strips the right size for a bit of black to show.
So this card started off as a Birthday card for Cute Card Thursday then realised I had a great sentiment that came with the High Hopes Koala. I also used Friday Sketchers sketch from last week. I still think something is missing but it still looks cute.
Many thanks to the girls who I swapped pages with on Saturday they are all safely in their own little book and a great reminder of a Fabulous weekend.

Treasure Box
This was the last class we took on Sunday, I hadn't even painted the box so yesterday it got painted unfortunately I didn't have the paint they used in class so my green is very bright, so inked the edges.
Here it is in all its glory finished quite pleased I used the green paint.
If you are using class tools that are suppose to be on the correct setting CHECK IT don't believe your neighbours because the hole in my acylic was not in the centre, I could live with a quirky circle but it wouldn't go round when stuck on the box. So a piece of acetate came to the rescue and cut out circle patched the centre.
Didn't like the rag strips for ribbons so found some nice grosgrain ones out of my stash. Another tip, paint thicky painted onto acylic takes a while to dry but fingerprints make pretty patterns, glad I left it overnight.

Don't do what I did but the acetate needs to go behind the pattern paper not between the chipboard, you need the depth of the two pieces of chipboard because some of the beads are on the large size, you don't want to be picking them out like I had too.
I didn't put the year on top of the box, didn't want to be tied down by a date, the n is actually a h with a bit chopped off.
Didn't like the brown strip per instuctions or the white string.
Even the inside of the box is decorated with a couple of pockets. I've also put some felt on the bottom of the box just in case the finish on the bottom isn't smooth.

Exhaustion
I can't believe how tired I've been the last couple of days and don't think it was all SAG fault because I was struggling last week. I've checked the challenges they all look fab but my mojo has disappeared. So I'm finishing off a project from the weekend, it came with instructions so it won't matter that my creative streak has streaked off. Just waiting for paint to dry and it should be finished today.

Scrap-a- ganza UK
Oh my goodness have I had the most exhausting weekend but it was absolutely brilliant. The classes were stunning and as far as I know nothing went wrong apart from the fact I forget to take my camera out and take loads of pics.
I can't believe I didn't take a pic of Donna especially of her cute family who followed hubby around all day and I kept wanting to sing Following the leader from Disney's Peter Pan even more so when Michelle children joined in. I forget to take a pic of Lance as well and he was so funny even though I gave up in the second part of the class simply because I was so tired.
There's was barely any room in Sis great tank of car time we filled it with out new bags, amazing kits and all the goodies we brought from Scrapshed and Art from Heart so thanks to Karen & Lynne and Dylan for helping to spend our money.
The downside is I'm really am shattered even Lance mentioned I looked wiped out but I still hope that Heidi and her team come back next year.

Scrap-a-ganza
I managed to make this ATC for the Tilda & Friends Challenge before I shut down my craft room taking it easy wasn't working so yesterday I rested all day and was bored silly but it seems to have work. The challenge was to use scraps under a certain size, so out came my scrap box and a small square punch to make the background the stamp was inspired by Fran ATC to use the dress up stamp of magnolia which I used for paper piecing the outfit.
I've done 19 of this pages for the swap FairyKaren has arranged at Scrap-a-ganza the theme for Saturday night is black and pink with a bit of fluffy throw in but that is typical FairyKaren. I also made chipboard cover nothing fancy but it's nice to put everyones swap pages together.
I also made the the timetable and on the back I thought it would nice to print some photos and put in there as a complete reminder of the weekend.
Not sure I have all the correct photos but if not I will work something out at the time or when I get home, we're going to very busy with 9 classes and four make and takes.

Couple of Cards
Hopefully Jan has received her acceptance card and won't have a surpise when she reads my blog. I've used the CPS sketch 68 as a starting point then it went its own way, the word stamp is crafty indivduals or at least I think thats what its called because I've popped into my craft room and I can't find it and it was from the Craft Barn. The birds are pink paislee, I don't think it was that expensive but I can see it being very handy. The papers are BG the one with dinosaurs in, the ribbon is from Hobbyart.
Now on a Spoonful Full of Sugar they have a recipe 3 brads or buttons, 2 patterned papers and a flower, Ok so there was a bit of cheating with the flower but I reckon two halfs make one whole one. I've used inktense pencils, it was really hard being so used to my small tin, the first thing I found out there's no peach for the face and I seem to be a bit short on browns but I love how the colour really spreads out.
It's Ok found that stamp.
