Sick

We have a sketch on Everybody Art although I sneakily added a bit of ribbon.

Oh and I added flowers instead of the circle, I think thats all I've changed a bit on the sketch. I used this fabulous image from Mo Manning called Sick. The papers are Echo Park but I only had these bits left so a pat on my back for using leftovers scraps.

The flowers are MFT called Upsy Daisy not sure they are still available and I previously lied about the leaves being Memory Box they are actually Poppystamps I think called leaf sprig. The die-cut sentiment is Paper Smooches.

The Elizabeth Designs ladybird/bug was sitting on my desk, well one was, so a couple more were cut out.

Do pop over and check out the team, also hope you can join us this week.

We off shopping today in a half term day but we kinda know what we need so hopefully the trip will run smoothly.

Pink Knickers

Even I'm impressed that I have a Penny Black stamp for today, I haven't made a card since Monday. Life seems to be getting in the way.

So of course my image is of course a Penny Black and I've used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles and the Avery Elle Sweet Scallops. I've also used Simon Says Stamp Wavy Stitched Scallop border.

My flowers are the EK Success punches but they are getting old and you can tell. The leaves are Memory Box, I'm pleased I rediscovered this die because its delicate leaves reminds of the Leone-Em punch that it a pain to use.

The hugs is a Simon Says Stamp and once again I cut two to layer so it will pop more on the card.

The plan for today is to make cards but I've been finishing of a crochet blanket instead of colouring images. Hubby isn't happy with me Baby Blanket 2, I wasn't in for my wool delivery so he had to go to the Sorting Office to get it. Whats worse I know how good the The Wool Warehouse delivers so when I ordered it on Wednesday I should of known it would arrive the next day. So baby blanket 2 has been started.

Never gonna grow up

I wish I wasn't so heavy handed when it comes to blending colours has you can see my image mat is a bit a grungy. Luckily it works with this cute chap who reminds me of my little nephew although he is growing up far to quick. Of course the little chap is from Mo's Digital images called Peter Pan and the sentiment comes too.

I think its best to say all the die cuts are Memory Box except the grass which is MFT, the papers are Prima.

Once again I'm running out of cards, other things keep popping up and my kindly husband reminded that before I know it I will have to be making Christmas Cards so I really need to get my card making hat on although my baby blanket is nearly finished. Today though I have to say goodbye to a friend.

I've used Technique Tuesday's Ranunculus stamp but as soon as I stamped the flower I knew there was two many layers to 3d so I settled in just cutting out each bloom. I also cut out the stems they were a bit more difficult and I used a craft knife.

I recently treated myself to some embossing folders and this one is called Weathered from Taylored Expression, I thought it would give a bit of interest to what would be a nearly white card. I blended some ink in the corner for where my I planned to stick my flower.

My card was looking Ok I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle although you can't really seem the faux stitching but I know I can add a sliver of coloured card and it will be a perfect fit for the Avery Elle Sweet Scallops. I planned to used enamel dots but the placement was down to the fact that after the card was nearly finished it acquired a couple of dirty marks.

To finish I used the Simon Says Stamp Sending die and their Sketched Ranuncus has arrived in my craftroom and I used a couple of the sentiments to finish of my sentiment.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

For Girls

I forgot that Everybody Art Challenge is on Europe time and a hour ahead, I really need to get my act together to schedule this post the previous day.

So this weeks challenge is for a card for The Girls and this cutie was in my small pile of coloured image and she is called Waiting for the Parade.

The papers are Doodlebug and the image is perfect for a red, white and blug parade. The sketch I found on my card sketch board in Pinterest but I've managed to make an almost mirror sketch to fit the image.

There's some Lawn Fawn Scalloped Borders and La LaLand Heart Banners. For quickness I've used the EK success retro punch and the fact I haven't found a die to replace them. The sentiment is an old one from Stampin Up, also the punches surrounding it.

Sorry about the squashed ribbon didn't notice when I photo them but I've straighten it now.

Do pop over and check out the team, also hope you can join us.

Summer Sandy

I had an idea in my head but I'm not sure in managed itself onto my card. The papers are Doodlebug and the curve is using the Simon Says Stamp Curve Border and in theory I've created with the papers the sand and sea!

I cut round the Stampin Bella Sandy and her Sombrero, I don't do this very often but I wanted to stand out a bit from the papers and this one way that helps. Once thats done I layered her as normal.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Skies Stamp and die but I've noticed I haven't embossed the back so there's no dimension. The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle is used once I had layered my sand and sea and I used the Avery Elle Scallop frame.

I like the idea of the strip by her feet but I may have to change it because I noticed the stamped sentiment is slightly crooked and not very central I obviously was disappointed and rushed a bit.

I do warn you about posting warts but at least I think I can rectified this one a bit.

Life Documented

When I was lucky to receive the April's Simon Says Stamp card kit I was unwell and it was days before I even opened it. When I did it was full of Simple Stories 6 inch paper, stickers as well as a stamp set. I took one look and knew I wanted to use it with these photos.

I had downloaded them from FB and found they wouldn't print a decent photo any larger but they work so well as photos for pocket pages.  Although I cheated this is actual a 12 by 12 with Pocket Pages mats so will fit in 12 inch album page.

I added Simon Says Stamps Cluster of Leaves and Stitched Daisies dies, also the hearts are made up with the small outline heart in the Simon Says Stamps Small Doily Heart. The Stitched Star is from MFT and the letters are Memory Box Alphabets Soup Upper case and lower case die and the rest is out of the kit.

I kept every bit of scrap patterned card so I could make a normal 12 by 12. I used all of the above plus the Simon says Stamp Stitched Square which I use with the scraps to make my patchwork background.
This probably was one of the fastest layout I made recently and was a lot quicker than the imitation pocket page I did first.

kitty sailing

Senior moments are coming thick and fast lately, first I didn't think I had a PB card for today, was a bit shocked to find one in my drafts! Oh there's more apparently I made this card for the mid way Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is by the way for masculine creations.

I'm pretty sure I used a sketch from somewhere but I can't remember when I made the card so there's no chance I will remember where it came from. The scary thing is I do know the papers are Doodlebug and the square of waves is from a Simon Says Stamp die, so is the notebook border and the birds. Birthday sentiment is an old one that sits on my desk and my fishtail banner is with the banner punch from Stampin Up which they are now retiring. Bakers' twine is also Doodlebug.

Having a bit of a struggle with making cards it seems Mr Mojo has moved out again hopefully only temporary.

Pop over and check out my team-mates on Penny Black Saturday Challenge, there's still time to join us. Don't forget we're not far away from from Father's Day.

Vintage Ladybird

We are blog hopping over on Mo's Dream Team and this month theme is Vintage.

I'm hoping the Vintage looking paper from LOTV  and the Marianne die is enough for this theme. I tried to be clever with the mat behind the cute image. I first stamped round the edges and then because I wasn't sure I like this I stamped a wood effect stamp as well.

The little cutie is called Baby Fairy Ladybug and it gave me an excuse to use the Elizabeth Designs Ladybugs die.

To finish I made a rose floral spray with Memory Box Tender Fern and Fresh Foliage.

Because I used the die for a frame this turned into a rather large square card that I've now got to make an envelope or a box for.

Hopefully you have hopped from team-mate Gaynor and now you need to HOP, SKIP and JUMP over Lou's Blog. Don't forget to comment along the way there are a couple of vouchers to be won this month.

Another Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and another senior moment, we are using Simon says Stamp Products the bit I missed was Fun with Felt. I confess I don't have the dies but lucky for me one of my team-mate did and she sent me some felt using Blooming Heart die. When I checked out the die I was impressed that you get all the flowers etc to decorate your heart.

You can buy everything you need to make your plush felt ornament including loads of colours of felt here at Simon Says Stamp.

I added a bit of stuffing in my heart but you could make a lavender bag to place inside.

I then decided to make a Book Card to place my heart in the middle, biggest problem, I hadn't made one for ages and had a hard job tracking down a tutorial. I used this one for metric measurements, you can use the blogs translator if you need to read the details. I found this one in imperial measurements.

To make my acetate front, I used the Simon says Stamp Stitched Rectangles before sticking together. I put a false front and back to hide where I stuck the ribbon to fasten.

Also in the tutorial it punched a border on one end of the concertina folded card but I die-cut the Lawn Fawn Scallop Border separately and glued on after the inside was made.

I used the Simon Say Stamp Stitched Daisy and Cluster of Leaves to decorate the front.

Here's a side view so you can see the concertina folds that look like book pages.

I was really please how my heart and book card turned out then I saw the fabulous creation by my team- mates and check out Kath's Blog from Simon say Stamp Monday Challenge team.

Hopefully the Simon Says Stamp team decide to make some felt dies for Snowmen, Penquins etc for all those Christmas Fayre's that happen in December.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Lace and Pearls

Now I like this weeks challenge on Everybody Art Challenge, its for Lace and Pearls although my favourite lace is running low so I will have to source it again on e-bay.

I decided to use this cute fairy baby called Baby Fairy Flora but I think I've used the old one that is retired, I'm pretty certain I have the new one or I meant to get it. I'm always worried if I use baby fairys for a New Baby card because of the wings especially in case the recipient lost babies on the way.

Papers I think are some old Echo Park and I used the Spellbinders Curved Borders then promptly hid it with the Creative Expression Ivy and Memory Box flowers. I also used the MFT Crochet Border, love that I not dictated by what size my circle mat is. Butterfly is that cheap punch and the sentiment is a LOTV with Stampin Up punches.

Do pop over and check out the team, also hope you can join us this week.

Flippin' Awesome

Since I was lucky enough to receive some Penny Black Stamps with Mo Manning images it seemed only right to use them on my Penny Black Saturday.

This is the fabulous cling stamp is called Flippin' Out I also know the product number 40-369 go me. Although I've linked to the actual Penny Black there are lots of retail stores online and brick and mortar that either sell or could possible order it for you.

So back to my card which now looking at it I've feel I should have made another pink corner using the La LaLand filigree die. I also used the Avery Elle Sweet Scallop die set for the image but I had to draw round the oval with a thick pen to give me the coloured mat inbetween the oval and the scallop.

I think you can just make out the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop border that I place a white ribbon on top off. My daisies are MFT called Upsy Daisy and some punched circle centres. I found the leaves in my Memory Box die box can't remember whats its called.

The sentiment came with the stamp which is perfect for the image.

Oh dear that was my last post left in my drafts so I better get my butt into the craft room and make some cards.

White Wedding

I was ask for yet another wedding card but this card is tinged with sadness, I made this for our friends who was travelling to the wedding party so no worries it being squashed in the post. Unfortunately they never made it to the wedding party since one of our friends became ill with pneumonia and was admitted to hospital where it was touch and go but he seemed to improve only for a week later he had an heart attack and past away. The card still made it to the couple who got married and Hubby and I have a funeral to go to.

I used all my favourite dies, the Floral Oval, Simon Says Stamp Congratulations die, Cheery Lynn swirl with leaves and some Memory box flowers and one of their hanging hearts. Nearly forgot the heart embossing folder.

The names were cut out using Memory Box Alphabet Soup dies, I now have the lower case too now but they are fiddly.

I do have a Penny Black card for tomorrow but thats it in my drafts, fingers crossed a have card making frenzy this weekend.

Prima

So here's the card that was relegated to my drafts, The stamp is the one Simon Says Stamp had sold out from Prima it probably there now I made another card.

Anyway the idea I had was to stamp it with clear and add white embossing powder to hear and them use blending tools but time was against me and I went with the same coloured stamping.

I actually stamped three times and cut out the frame and oval to sit on the whole stamped image. Has it was made with the intention of showcasing Prima I used their flowers but if I had a choice I would have punched or die-cut them.

The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp My Sunshine I love all the word verses and it comes along to crop in case I need them for scrapbooking.

It seems a long time ago I mentioned I was going to a crop which I made one layout but actually I made pocket page but not for pockets I stuck them onto a 12 by 12 which will become obvious when I post it but I want to make a matching 12 by 12.

The trip to take some flowers to crematorium on MIL Birthday we were lucky with the weather, I think it was the first time in ages we didn't get rained on. We also discovered some graves which we found the paperwork for in MIL papers. I also found out some information I didn't have before.

I'm still recovering but looking forward to a card making weekend.

My planned card had to be ditched when I discovered the Prima Stamp I had used had disappeared from the shop but I'm secretly pleased I got my hands on it and the card will appear later this week.

So an emergency card to take it's place and I quickly stamped and coloured Penny Black Prize Cupcake and found some dotty and stripy patterned paper using Lawn Fawn Polka in the Meadow.

I used the Stitched Scallop Border again from Lawn Fawn  to give a bit of interest to the panels and luckily I had some Prima Innocence flowers left over from the other card but I cut out the Simon Says Stamp Cluster of Leaves to complete the card.

The sentiment I used is a Simon Says Stamp from the versatile Furry Cat in the Box.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Flowers

We have a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge for flowers, who does love flowers on our cards. Please excuse the card photo very quickly and it looks wider at the top than the bottom but its a proper rectangle.

The papers are Penny Black and I found the sketch in my Pinterest at first I decided I could cheat and just floral papers but I did add some red EK success retro punch flowers since they were quick to make.

The sweet image is LOTV but she's been in coloured image pile for so long I bet she thought she would never be used. Since I was in a hurry the sentiment is a Craftwork card oval preprinted one and I used the Stampin Up punches to make it look pretty.

Do pop over and check the challenge also I do hope you can join us this week.

Wedding

My niece asked me for a Wedding Card with a mint and Vintage influence, I just go into panic mode because what I like isn't what everyone likes so just in case I made two.

So the first one I found some minty distressing paper. I used the old retired Stampin Up stamps with the couple initials and printed the date on some matching paper. Favourite Floral Image die and I used one of the centres that came with it. Lace and ribbon and some hearts from Simon Says Stamp doily die and a random heart die. The embossed lines are using a houghie board.

The second one was all in white with a touch of mint again using the Spellbinder Floral Oval but I cut out the centre. I printed the date eventually my printer was having a hissy with the linen card, the letters cut from my cricut.

Favourite Tender Fern die from Memory Box not sure on the other leaves but I sure its another Memory Box. MFT divine swirl some white flowers and some pearls on acetate which I've noticed I need some more.

My niece made their wedding cake she is truly gifted and amazing and we had some really brilliant news about her Dad/My Brother he got the all clear thank god he went straight to the Doctors when he saw something was wrong. Anyway this is the fabulous cake she made.
