Jumpin Puppy

CAS card for this Saturday post and I've just noticed the odd shape card but it is a rectangle just my attempt to get a straight card!

Again this is from the Penny Black clear set with doggies, I did add a couple of lines under the image.

The gingham green paper is Doodlebug mainly because a new pack had arrived at my desk. The Smile die is from Simon Says Stamp and the stamped sentiment was using the stamp set that you use with the die. The twine is Doodlebug too.

Well I've failed to keep my resolutions to be a better blogger, not sure where the time is going and the craftroom has been neglected. Even today not sure I'm going to get in there, although my Sister has been poorly she fancies going to Sandown but it will be down to how she is feeling so waiting for a phone call to tell me what we are doing.

Snow Shovel

Yes I'm still thinking of Christmas cards although I don't have that many coloured in images so I need to stop crocheting and colour some more in.

I didn't have this little fellow in my collection so it seemed only right to get him, he is of course a Mo Manning Digital Too image called Snow Shovel. I coloured his shovel like the plastic ones we get over here but it doesn't look like we will be using them this year but we do need flippers!

I kept it plain and simple because I don't know where the time is going but I seemed to have less time in the craftroom. I used the Simon Says Stamps Wavy snowflake border and their Stitched Snowflake dies but I used foam to help them show them up among all the white.

The dirty looking snow is frosted lace Stickles no idea why they look mucky, I blame the camera and the dodgy daylight.

Now this card is more in my comfort zone, a cute image and using Simon Says Stamp products to make the elements.

First of all the cute image is from Stamping Bella called Uptown Ava love to Celebrate and her dress I paper pieced using the fabulous Taylored Expression Hello Happiness to do this and for the diagonal paper.

I used the Stacked Hearts from Simon says Stamp, I actually used the die twice so I could add a few hearts to the top edge of the paper. The flowers are from the new stamp and die set from Simon Says Stamp called Roses for You.

I decided to use the Wishes from a Penny Black die from their Wishes set and added the stamped Birthday sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Its Your Birthday.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Recipe

Well I didn't plan that well today, I should of schedule my post knowing I only came back from MIL yesterday.

My card is for Everybody Art Challenge, this week we have a recipe of 3 papers, text and 3 flowers and I think I just about covered that in my card.

I think the papers are Doodlebugs and my flowers are a new Memory Box die, its on my desk so be warned I sure it will be use again.

I'm pretty sure the sketch is the week before's Sketch Saturday and to finish my card I used the Simon Says Stamp Wishing die and sentiments.

Nearly forgot my image is Saturated Canary, I think it was a collection that you brought but don't hold me to that.

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog to check out the teams creations.

I shall have a bit of a rest day before I venture into my craftroom.

Dog-gone

I got the most marvellous card from Helen my team-mate on Penny Black Saturday Challenge you can see it here. I loved it so much I brought the clear stamp set and made my own version of Helen's card.

I did have help I used this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch although I missed out a strip in the sketch and added a cloud instead.

Not sure of the papers just found a blue and green. Did used Simon Says Stamp Stitched circles for the main circle and the sentiment one. I also used their hills and slopes.

I did try to cut a border round the image but you don't notice it much once I layered the dog but it does help it pop out of the coloured mats.

The paw prints was a stamp within the set too which I thought would work in the corner to be honest not sure it does but it has to stay there now.

Fingers crossed we shall be travelling to see MIL, the nursing home is open and no snow is forecast, DD is looking forward to having the house to herself and no doubt will be scrapbooking in the front room while we are away a couple of days.

Blog Hop

The first blog hop of 2016 from Mo's Dream Team and this time the theme is Favourite Digital Pencil image. I kinda thought this would be easy but there is so many gorgeous images to choose from.

I decided to go back in time when I first was able to print Mo's images and was over the moon when the ink didn't smudged. Before that the few images I did have, you needed to be very careful not to touch the black line practically impossible. Anyway back to the image I've chosen Teacup Fairy, I've also decided I have loads of favourite images but this one I haven't used for a while.

Not sure on the papers, again I have a pile without covers that I'm trying to use up and this seemed to work well with the flowers on the cup. I was thinking of primroses.

I used the Lavish Branch from Memory Box and I think the flowers are from Memory Box too. My flower centres and faux brads are all punched out with circle punches.

I'm the start of the Blog Hop and from me, you have to HOP, SKIP and JUMP over to my teamie Lou whose card is amazing. Don't forget to comment along the way there are two gift vouchers up for grabs to spend in  Mo's shop.

Create with Critters

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all, and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge blog!
Thank you for joining us for the Ombre Challenge and we hope you will join in with our new theme, as well!
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher to Simon Says Stamp!
This week the challenge is...

CREATE WITH CRITTERS

We're not expecting you to use their tails as a water brush or sit your puppy or kitty on your craft table while you create but we would like them to be the centre of attention on your creation! If you do have a pet we would love to see a photo of them on your blog post, too! We love seeing your REAL critters!
We are showcasing LAWN FAWN PRODUCTS this week. You don't have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used! Lawn Fawn has all kinds of designs, but they certainly do an amazing job with the cutest critters!
As always, Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store! WHAT?! Yup. Totally.
50dollar_voucher_600px

I decided to use the Lawn Fawn bunnies from their Spring Splendour stamps and die set but the fabulous tulips in the set caught my eye.

I kept the bunnies white (save me some time) but I did add some FunFlock on their bobtails. I did colour the tulips and cut them out to fit on top of the die cut ones.

The papers are some fabulous ones from Taylors Expression Hello Happiness may have to buy another packet.

I used the Simon Says Stamps Bundle of Stitched Shapes to give the main mat a stitched edge and added some clouds from the Lets go Fly a Kite but I noticed this is out of stock but there is lots of others including the stitched ones that have just fallen into my basket oops.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Red and White

New challenge on Everybody Art Challenge for Red and White. Once I found the right image  the card fell into place.

First of all my image is the little cutie from Mo Manning called Goodness but she works a treat in the colour challenge.

The papers are a bit of a mix I found the heart paper in a bundle of odds and end but the fancy red patterned is an old pack from Penny black.

Now both papers are very busy and pretty flowers would have a hard job to be seen, so I went bold and punched them out of red card. Luckily the EK Success punch still punches easily but I think quite a few of my punches may have reached the end of their days.

Just a bit of ribbon to finish and I don't have a need for a lot of Valentines card so I used a Birthday sentiment which still happens to be on my desk, the stamping up circle sentiment.

Do pop over and check out the team hope you can join us this week.

All in Pink

We are having a Mid Month reminder post for the challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is for Anything Goes. Just remember you need a PB stamp or Die on you card to join in.

My little kitten was coloured and ready to be made into a card using the Doodlebug papers. I discovered the Stitched Circle had already been cut out of my patterned paper using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle so that gave me the idea for the layout of the card.

The thin scallop border was using MFT scallop die and the Wishing is a Simon Says Stamp die. The stamped sentiment again from Simon Says Stamps from their Wishing stamp set.

Flowers are an EK sucess punch and the centres are a punch too. The ribbon does match but not according to the camera.

Do pop over and check out the teams creations.

Catch Up Friday

I don't have a card today but I thought I would do a bit of a catch up. So far I have 15 of each colour way of my crochet squares. I've worked out I need 63 altogether, these square have had their ends sewn in which I do when I have five of each.

I returned to Slimming World where I have lost 2 1/2 pounds might not seem much the first week but my brain keeps telling me it can't be possible to eat that much and lose weight but I have a very supportive consultant but if I can lose a couple pound a week thats fine by me.

We were going to see MIL this week but her nursing home has been closed to visitors due to having some resident with the Novo-virus. If no one becomes ill today they may be open tomorrow but we decided with the cold spell at the moment we will postpone the visit till next week.

Since we not going away this weekend I've decided to have a colouring day and make cards tomorrow although I have a couple of DT card to be made first.

Jessie

Mmmm my camera seems to have made my baby image a bit blurring or is it time I went to the opticians, probably a bit of both. This adorable image is one of Mo's called Jessie and you can buy her in the shop which has 20% off at the moment till the 24th but you have to remember to put in the code.

Not sure of the papers have been going through some of my older papers otherwise I can't justified buying more. The pink was bit awkward to match but I think I may have pulled it off.

My mojo is still away but I just got out my favourite things and saw an old Mojo Monday sketch to bring it all together.

So to my favourite things, well the lace for started and ribbon always works well on a girl baby card.
MFT crochet border to go round my image mat haven't find anything that looks or works this well to replace it.

I'm loving the Stacked Heart die from Simon Says Stamps, I added double sided tape to the back before running it through the Big Shot and then used a few of the hearts to bring a bit of interest. Finally the LOTV sentiments which I don't think they're available any longer but love that I can stamp, cut off the border, stamp on contrasting card and cut out.

Today I'm of to Slimming World fingers crossed I've lost some weight, didn't start off that well and the planned visit to MIL this weekend isn't going to help.

Ombre

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Something New Challenge and we hope you will join in with our new theme!
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher
This week the challenge is

OMBRE

The definition of ombre is the French word for color that is shaded or graduated in tone.
We are showcasing HERO ARTS PRODUCTS this week. You don't have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I decided to use an Hero Art Ombre Inkpad Pool to Navy with the idea to make a background. In the end I decided to use it on the Simon Says Stamp Ornaments stamp and die set since they were solid stamps, I did think to use my Leavy Vines but I used that yesterday.

I knew I wanted the background to be white but I also knew it would be quite plain so I used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil but using it has an embossing folder and running it through my big shot.

I'm finding punches hard going so I used the MFT Grassy Fields die upside down to make my icicles.

The silver twine I found in the wool department at a craft shop and is actually made for crocheting.

To finish I used the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Winter Snow dies but used just winter and originally I planned to stamp wishes and emboss in white but it ended up crooked so a quick little fishtail banner for wishes and to hide my mistake. Oh the wishes are from the Simon Say Stamp Its Your Birthday stamp set.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting

Million Thanks

A new challenge starts today on Everybody Art Challenge I managed to upload a card by the skin of my teeth.

This weeks challenge is to use the Text has the main image. Ok my butterflies are overpowering the text but hopefully the Spellbinders Book nestabilities will direct your eyes to the words.

The Text is a Stampin Up stamp not sure but could be retired and the butterflies are Stampin Up too. I did use a Memory Box Butterfly die for their bodies and added some pearls to jazz it up.

I used Hero Art Leavy Vines but I used the third stamped impression because I was the same colour but muted to cover some of the white space.

Do pop over and check out the team with their fabulous creations.

It's a fairly quiet week and I'm hoping to catch up with myself, fingers crossed.

Egg-cup Mice

So a quick card today and I couldn't work out how not to cover the pretty floral paper so I avoided added any other patterned mats.

Just finished off with contrasting Retro Flowers from the EK Success punch. I really must find a die alternative punching needs to be avoided at all cost.

Yes that sentiment is the one I always used that is sat on my desk but its going a bit mangy and I think it time to find a new one.

I have lots of wooden Penny Black that seemed to be mostly retired but they are still a firm favourite of my so apologies in advance if I still use them.

Don't forget the challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge is for Anything Goes, old and new Penny Blacks stamps are all welcome.

Snowball

Having major meltdown with computer apps at the moment, I use Picasa to upload my photos too but despite uninstalling and reinstalling it won't let me. So I had to find the actual programme that came with the PC and having to work out how to crop etc. Then finding out I had to use photoshop who doesn't get on with me that well to add the signature. As you can see I got there in the end but I really don't have time messing about on the PC when I could be doing far nicer things like actually make cards.

Back to my card, this cutie is a sneak peek at some new images not sure when they are going to be available but hopefully it will be soon. Not sure if the image is a boy or girl probably depends on what colours you use.

The papers are Doodlebug and then I got out some favourite dies especially has Mr Mojo is still on holiday somewhere sunny I expect. I used fun foam for the white part of my snowflakes to help them stand out from all the white and a touch of blue to help also.

I used MFT crochet border die for round my stitched oval die image and some glamour dust for the snowball and the Sticklers for my hills of snow.

Today I'm joining Slimming World, having put back nearly all my good work over the last couple of years. I need to get back on the wagon and decided that perhaps I needed a bit more support and the half the family seems to go to Slimming World anyway so that could be helpful too.

Also today it is a year since I lost my Mum but today is the only day I will mention it. I want to remember the good times not the bad. We have put some words in the remembrance book on her birth date so we can remember her on her Birthday and the happy memories we have of her.

Something New

wed-newchallenge-header

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Thank you for joining us for the Party Challenge and we would like to wish you a Very Happy New Year!
We will be back soon with the name of the lucky winner of the $50 Voucher
This week the challenge is

SOMETHING NEW

New baby, New Home, New Crafty Stash, whatever you decide to make we will be looking forward to seeing your creations!
We are showcasing Wplus9 Products this week. You don't have to use them to join in with the challenge, but if you have them we would love to see them used!
As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $50 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
50dollar_voucher_600px

I decided to use the theme of New Baby but the My Favourite Things Stitched Star dies are new to my craftroom.

So my little cuties are Wplus9 Party Animals stamp and die set that also include the little blue birds.

To make my background I blended ink on piece of card and using the same inkpad I used the tiny stars from Simon Says Stamp Retro Christmas stamp set which is still on my desk.

A bit Doodlebug twine to hide a bit of glue that appeared from no where. I used my star die to make a shaker using Pretty Posh Sequins.

I decided my Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello needed to be use and to be finish I used the Simon Says Stamps Baby die and stamp set.

Has you can see my card has a lot dimension and as of yet I haven't found a way to photo it with artificial light without it making it look flat, so I try my best with daylight.

So now it's YOUR turn.  Happy Crafting
