Crochet

I actually pulled out of this weeks Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, I made another awful card even when I tried to rescue it I think I only made it worse. Then I found the main image wasn't actually in the shop and I've two of the same stamp so where did I get them from!
Anyway I've decided to take a break for a week, no DT cards so no pressure, I did managed to make a couple of tags and a couple of cards that I haven't photo yet but they basically using some favourite stamps in a way you seen before.
But there's no way I can do nothing so I got a wool bundle from Deramores and making Granny Squares the wools nearly all gone so just need to join them up and make a border.

I follow Attic24 and she is doing a crochet throw/blanket and you can join her each week with up dates. The kit for the blanket is on the Wool Warehouse and you get 15 balls of Stylecraft wool for £25 I didn't think this was too bad.
The best thing I absolutely love the colours but I won't be doing the blanket its crochet in one piece and eventually will be too heavy for me but wonderful granny squares it will make. And it comes in this netting bag which will come in handy too. Not sure I can convince Hubby I need to take it to MIL for the weekend so will have to choose just a few.

  2. Some lovely crocheting Debby and a great mix of colours too. I also find my mojo stutters a bit this time of year, and just when I need to pick up speed it isn't happening very well, but I'm trying not to stress! x

  3. These crochet squares are lovely, the colours are very vibrant and will make a beautiful blanket once you have finished. Perhaps the break from card making will work on your mojo, it happens like that, we just fizzle out and a change is needed. Hope you can relax and recharge at the weekend.

  4. I would love to be able to crochet but as I look round the room and see how many works in progress I have at the moment I change my mind, maybe one day if I ever finish my cross stitch butterfly afghan or ever make up all the cushions I have done tapestry for and don't talk about the aran sweater that is missing two arms (they have been on the needles for about 10 years now LOL!!!!),at the moment it would become just another WIP!! But your squares look lovely, love the vibrant colours

  11. I love your granny squares! I am so envious! :-) I always wanted to learn how to crochet and knit and my own granny passed on when I was too small to learn how from her, so you are really fortunate to know how to do that. I'm sure the final creation will be beautiful.
