Bunnies

So this is the card that was in my head when I saw the Less is More Sketch. My brain is quite simple really cos I saw a Fence not just any fence the MFT die which is quite large and the Martha Stewart Icicle punch for grass.
The bunnies are Penny Black and it is a long stamp with five bunnies but two will be used another day, of course I had to use some Flowersoft with some Fun flock mix in for his bobtail. Flowers are punches and the tiny leaves are the MS Glacial Snowflake punch cut up.
Now I do not own a cloud embossing folder I had to make one using some clouds I found on the Graphically Speaking Cartridge for my Cricut. Not sure if my cricut would cut chipboard so each cloud was cut twice and stuck together. Their sizes are 3/4  and 1 inch and stuck them on a square card, then run it through the Big Shot once I worked out the layers I was amazed how well it worked.

Jump for Joy

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
Anything Goes
The team is also using Penny Black but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps has in their store.

My Penny Black is image is called Jumping for Joy and I've used American Craft Soho Garden. The fence is MFT die and the Fresh foliage and the Tiny Tendril leaf, along with the Fancy flowers are from Memory Box. I've used the fabulous Expression of You die and stamp set for the sentiment which I loving at the moment.
I just finished the flowers with some pearls and had to add a ribbon bow cos the plainest of the fence on the left annoyed me.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog.

Always

So while waiting for the Simon Says Stamps Challenge post at 2pm here's a quick card. Yes you can see I'm still being influence by the sketch on Less is More.
This time I've used the Simon Says Stamps Exclusive Falling Heart die and just cut the strip I felt would work well.
I love the word dies Simon Says Stamps do including the Always but instead of using the words that you can buy with it I've used the Expression of You words perfect for Valentine.
And with Valentine you need some hearts and I've used Martha Stewart Deep Edge Heart punch which could be retired now but I've recently discovered that I'm short of dies and punches of hearts so I need to remedy that.
Hopefully this is being schedule and Mr Blogger loves me, I've an early Hospital appointment with the possibility of drops to blur my vision so thats no crafting today.

Merry Snowflakes

This card wasn't the first thing that came to mind when I saw the Less is More sketch this week that idea is still inside my head so hopefully sometime this week it will be put into a card.
But I was making another card and decided not to use these snowflakes and thought I shouldn't waste them and since the LIM sketch was firmly planted in my thoughts I quickly made this card.
The snowflakes are MFT dies using a scrap of Bo Bunny paper and the sentiment is Hero Arts the one I discovered after I made all my Christmas cards.
I know its not very inspirational but at least I've a Christmas card ready for this year.

Almost Monchrome

Well the weeks are starting to race away and not only is it February the end of the week but Tuesday has come round again and its time for another challenge on Everybody Art Challenge. This week is for Blue Monochrome although in my case I've cheated a bit and there's a touch of Kraft but that neutral like white!
I love the Sailor Boys set from Mo Manning and perfect for this challenge and this image is one of three that you get along with other elements too.
I used the Triple Scallop borders from MFT but only used two but had to cut each one twice so it would fit across the card and the join is hidden under the image mat.
The fence is from MFT too but I didn't fancy a blue or white fence because the flowers wouldn't show up all finished with some blue clouds the die once again from MFT and so it the border round the circle mat. The papers are some really old American Craft.

Anniversary

There two cards that are for some special people at the begining of February one of them is for my Mum and Dad who celebrate their 54 years its going to strange this year with them living separate places. Mum loves busy cards the only thing that is missing on this one is glitter.
I've used the sketch on The Sketchy Challenge and the papers are Kaiser Magnolia Grove all distress with ink.
The image is from Just Inklined, years ago I saw a stamp similar to this and I so regret not buying it.
Finished with lace, ribbon and roses, the sentiment is LOTV and the swirl is MFT.
The temperature is going to be in double figures so I got my DD to give me hand to move back to my craftroom and I'm looking forward to staying there so hopefully we had our snow this winter.

Zoom

This was an experiement I liked the cards and houses on the scrap I had left so I put them together with the new fence die from Impression Obession.
I cut the circle off centre from the image to give it the impression of driving off the mat. He's a great little image called Zoom. I remember when I first got him my old printer smudged and I painstaking colour trying not to touch the lines it such a relief I don't need to worry now.
I added the cloud another die I think MFT then things went a bit wrong I decided to use the cogs embossing folder for the background under the clouds and I so wish I hadn't bothered but too late now.
Have you seen Mo's new doggy images they are so cute and there's a freebie but you have to quick to get it.

Favourite Mice!

These Penny Black mice are my favourite I know I say that a lot but this stamp I didn't originally own, my sister had it and although I had borrowed a few times I felt that I needed it in my collection.
The pair are so handy for all sorts of occasions which is why there is no sentiment just waiting for the reason.
You know I've used a sketch from somewhere and this time is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday but I have sneaked in a strip of ribbon wouldn't be my card if there wasn't a bit somewhere.
The papers are My Minds Eye not sure which one, the daisies are MFT die and the leaves are Cheery Lynn.
Thankfully the snow that had been forecasted missed us and the rain has washed away all the grubby stuff that was left. So that means the crop today goes ahead and maybe tomorrow I will be returning to my craftroom.

Sunday Sketch

I blame Pops for this image cos I often see Wryn on her cards so I brought a couple, along with this week Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch. By the way I won last week with my LOTV bear card.
Not sure on the papers and the Memory box flowers have been used again and a lot of them and the leaf is Cheery Lynn.
Yes I've used the MFT crochet die for round the oval I don't seem to stop using it and the sentiment is LOTV since one of only a couple of sentiment sets on my dining room table.
Bit of busy day today and I've also got to get my bag ready for a crop tomorrow but there's now talk of snow tonight I'm actually hoping for rain.

Janey's Dropwort

Ahhh I think I've cracked the Less is More challenge for Friends this week rather than put the oval on a small card I put it on a square so now there's lots of white space.
Now looking at it, its very plain but I love Janey's Digi Designs Dropwort and I'm so lucky to be asked to be on her DT but don't tell anyone I've promised the family no more design teams. Good job Jane is happy for me to make a card when I can and I'm eyeing up the poppy with a bit of merging.
Now I know these are not the proper colours for dogwort and it seems I'm having a lilac moment but the Wisteria Wonder inkpad is in the dining room with me as is the paper. So if the cold weather continues be warned that they may be more lilac moments.
The sentiment was on set I used for the other lilac card this week and how could I not use Spellbinders Floral Oval. I coloured the dropwort with my pencils but I use a white pen for the pollen. Even more impressed it fits through the normal post slot.
Oh dear I've accidently changed the name of the flower its actually called Dropwort sorry Jane.

Puppy Love

Today I'm using the Sketch Saturday sketch which is almost CAS and I'm using Saturated Canary Puppy Love but the gap between looked like that I had a row so I merged them together. I realised why there was such a gap because you can use them as individuals which is why the girl has been coloured up again and is waiting to be made into another card.
The papers are Pebbles and I used the MFT Dainty bow which means this card would also work for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. Then it was using a leaf die and the Harrington Swirl from Simon Says Stamps and the flowers are a die from Memory Box.
I'm slightly restricted to what I can use cos I'm still in my dining room and using what came out with me luckily thats all my thin dies but I'm now seriously fed up with the Snow its no longer pretty.

Paper Piecing

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
to use Paper Piecing
The team is also using LilybeeDesigns but thats not a requirement for the challenge just the DT chance show what amazing products Simon Says Stamps has in their store.

Unfortunately dozy drawers here used some sold out Lilybee papers but don't worry there pretty of others to choose from.
For a change I've used one of my favourite Tilda's she is quite an old one called Shopping and although I've used her for a thank you card I also think she would work for thinking of you card as well. She is also fabulous to paper piece well her trousers are.
I used a Hero Arts sentiment and it isn't crooked in real life, I surrounded it with the Simon Says Stamps Ariana Wreath die and then used the MFT crochet border die.
There has to been a swirl and there's not one better than the delicate Harrington swirl again from Simon Says Stamps and added some Prima roses.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog.

A bit of failure

You may wonder what I'm talking about cos I love how this ended up although the words were placed to fit the Memory Box Foliage die.
But I don't think it would work for the Friends challenge at Less is More even though this is less than I do normally. If I had made it on a square maybe I could get away with it.
I've used the Romantic Rectangle but since my card is 14.5cm tall it had to be cut down and the ribbon very conveniently hiding the fact. The butterflies are Stampin Up the tiny butterflies and the sentiment is a clear set I brought ages ago.

A recipe

I'm pretty sure today is Tuesday and that means it time for a new challenge on Everybody Art Challenge and this week we have a recipe you can use 2 punches, 3 papers and 3 flowers.
So I decided to use this fab Saturated Canary image just right for a cold winters day although my camera has made her wishy washy didn't realise so may have to try a take another pic. Have tried to photoshop her, she's bit better.
The papers are American Crafts Soho Garden using one of them for the retro flowers in the blue spot  which I used the leftovers for this card.
The I reckon that a die counted as a punch so I added the Cheery Lynn leaf swirl and touch of ribbon and lace to finish.
Would love for you to join and check out the team.
I'm still have problems with viewing blogs and have worked out that Google crashed when I try to comment on some blogs so to resolve this I'm using Firefox to view and comment but its oh so slow compare to Chrome.

Party Time

Something bright for a cold Monday I've used the Sketch and Stash sketch, using the some Echo Park papers which I have no idea what they're called since they've lost their cover.
The sweet image is from Saturated Canary and using a white pen I dotted all the dots. The background paper is very busy so I decided less is more, just the Memory box branch with EK succes small flowers and matching flowers in the corner.
I spent yesterday working on my secret project and watching American Idol don't mind Mariah Carey but gosh that Nicki Minaj likes the sound of her voice and it isn't soothing to your ears.
Today its back making cards.

Basketball Duncan

For some strange reason I've several male images coloured especially has we all know how difficult they are to turn into mens cards.
I do love this fun chap from Dr Digis called Slam Dunk Duncan and I decided I couldn't get keep passing by him by and use him with the Sweet Sketch Wednesday for this week.
I have two problems making this card one not being able to add loads of flowers and that on the sketch there are only two places for embellishments, not keen on even numbers. But I think the two scallop circles work in the end although I would like to add a third.
I think the papers are My Minds Eye but please don't hold me to that and the scallop circles are various punches, the sentiment is Stamping up and the fish tail banner was made by using a square punch and the no  1 was cut using the Cricut.
I finally got down and made a few pages of my Christmas Journal although really I need to change the title and just call it My Christmas Album. It suits me to just make layouts although I am using the class to give my album a sense of order I'm not following it to the letter and I'm please so far.
Today I think its back to the secret project its now 12 weeks and 7 squares to go and panic is now setting in.
The cold snap continues and it looks like I shall be out of my craftroom for another week as we wait for more snow.

Mojo Bunny

Well if there's Creme eggs in the shops I see no reason for not getting out my Penny Black Easter stamps and I adore this little bunny.
I still not sure on the card I followed the sketch on Mojo Monday and I feel I need to fill it with some more embellishments.
The papers are Lawn Fawn and I used a lifestyle embossing folder for the side panel. Yes that is MFT crochet border die but it works so well what ever the size of the circle mat. The daisies are Woodware punches and the retired corner dies. Just a little sentiment with fish tail ends.
Well we ended up with our predicted 4 inches of snow but the cold spell isn't finished yet but hopefully thats it for snow.

I Just called to Say I love you

I kept singing "I just called to say I love you"  all the time I made this card. I've used the Sunday Sketch and Stamp.
The patterned paper is American Craft Soho Garden but I did have another page to go with it but decided I didn't like it so just used this one which I think it turned out OK.
Added some lace and ribbon to make it pretty then added the MFT swirl with Memory box flowers and the Quickutz corners which I think are retired.
That just leave the cute LOTV Bear stamped image was really easy to do and not so many tiny fiddly bits.
We are all waiting for the predicted heavy snowfall we will still if the Weathermen got it right.

Thinking of you

It was necessary to make and send one of these cards. I had just used the dotty paper from American Crafts, it left a scrap which I thought would be a nicer colour to use than make a CAS with black.
The Phlox memory box die on my desk along with Simon Says stamp Harrington Vine die which is never far away.
I decided to use the Asbsolutely die and stamp from Simon Says Stamp also the Always die would have worked too.
Paper pieced the bud on the vine with the dotty papers  and to finish I used the two of the MFT triple scallop border dies.

January Dream Team Blog Hop

Once again its time for Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop and Julie has chosen the theme today
 Loads of Embellishment

This is the kind of theme I love although recently I've gone down the less is more but I think my card ticks all the boxes.
The gorgeous image is Teen Fairy Mia perfect for a girly teen. The papers are My Minds Eye the Sweetest thing. It just so happened the Phlox die from Memory box arrived out of the blue (who I am kidding) not sure this was the way to use them but they remind me of big cabbage type flowers and love the leaves that come with it but I've chopped them up to close the gap.
Fancy cuttlebug corner, lace and ribbon, not forgetting some pearls and loads of glitter on her underskirt and wings.

So hopefully you found me from Julie's Blog and you now have to Hop Skip and Jump to

Don't forget to comment on everyone's post cos theres
a couple of random vouchers to spend in Mo's shop to win

His Heart

Time for new challenge on Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog

 and this week its
to use Washi Tape

I think I may have mentioned this before but I don't really get Washi tape although I thought it worked when I did a configuration box but on a card!
It didn't help that my Stazon was dry as bone and all other black ink didn't like the tape and wouldn't dry. The reason I need to stamp on it was to paper piece the heart and scraps at his feet in the end I stamped first and place the tape over the top which was handy cos I could place the hearts on the tape where I wanted so maybe I'm getting it after all.
I've also used the Simon says Stamp Expression of You stamp and die set and the Meadow Rue die. And to finish I used the Memory box Grove branch die and tiny flowers using an old punch in my stash.
Last but not least I used the MFT crochet border die for the round the main image mat, you can find a tutorial how I do this here.

Now you know the drill to win the chance of this fabulous prize you have to enter the challenge with a new card no backlinking and you need to enter your post using the linky thing on the challenge blog.
