WOYWW and a WIP

I have discovered something worst than glitter this WOYWW. After having this Tim Holtz box for over a year and all the nik naks I brought last year for it, I decided it was time to get started on it.
I got Hubby to fill a bottle of the beach at Tossa de Mar last year he wasn't impressed.
Sand and tiny pebbles are worst than glitter it sprays in all directions.
And this is the reason why I was using it for a memory box Spain to make a beach effect. I've only recently discovered that this is a WIP can you believe after all these years I found out this means Work in Progress!
Last year in Spain I made Hubby to go with me to all the souvenir shops to find small relevent items, but I forgot to take measurements, so some things don't fit.
Hubby had to cut down the lighthouse and Feliu gave me some of his shells that he uses to make jewellery etc.

The cork was off the bottle of wine I shared at the weekend it was perfect for the box.

This is on the top of the lid, the boat was obviously was too big for the compartments.
It's still a WIP with a couple of the boxes still need filling but another visit will hopefully sort that out.

That does look like a lot of work! You're doing an amazing job with it though. It will be worth it once the clean up is over.

Lots on your 'WOYWW' to show us this week - your memory box looks great, though I don't envy you having to clear up all that sand!

Hi Debby, love your WIP, though it does look as though it's now progressed to completed. I hate sand so much that I refuse to go down to the beach on breezy days, and I won't take picnics on to the beach either - in fact, if I never went on to a beach again I'd be a happy teddy :) However, and contrarily, I love seaside ephemera like your boat, shells and lighthouse and I think you've made a lovely job of your box. Hope you've had a lovely WOYWW. Elizabeth x #42

Hi Debby, what a lovely project. It reminds me of my recent holiday in Spain (near Tossa). Hope you will find some lovely little things during your next trip to finish this WIP. Regards

I had no idea what a WIP was so thanks for explaining. I suppose we could all view our lives as a WIP too.
Brilliant idea to make this keepsake. A great way to remember a lovely holiday.

Yes, WIP is work in progress! I figured that one out not to long ago. DT is design team not direct transfer, which made no sense anyway. LOVE LOVE LOVE the box. It has come together so nicely. I think it is okay that it took so long to get around to because you got it perfect this time. The sand and pebbles are neat looking. Sorry to hear that they are so messy.

Good day! This is kind of off topic but I need some advice from an established blog. Is it hard to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty fast. I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any tips or suggestions? With thanks.
