Pink Ballerina

Well back to normal this Monday after a busy few days including a fabulous Birthday party on Saturday for Louise. Thank you for all the lovely comments about her card its does make you feel really good when everyone loves it too.
I saved this card for today its using the Sweet Sketch Wednesday and poor Tilda has been waiting to be made into a card for ages so much so I tore these papers out of its pack and I can't work out from which one only that it was My Minds Eye.
I've used my heart embossing folder and of course EK Success retro flowers, the sentiment is a peel off and the corners are quickutz.
Can you believe it but its the last day of October this really does mean that any available time is going to be spent on making Christmas Cards. I like to have them all made and written out by the 1st December.

Lou's Birthday Card

There's quite a few pic of this card because its quite a busy card. First the reason for all the High Hopes Jungle images. My niece is made for Giraffes and on her actual birthday she took her niece and nephews to Marwell Zoo with my Sister so this would help to remind her what she actual did on her big birthday.

The papers are WRMK, the Magnolia doo hickey grass die. The 40 cut out using the Cricut Storybook cartridge. Sentiment computer generated and used a Stampin Up punch.
The flowers are EK success retro flower and the teeny tiny ones is a do-crafts one that I've had for ages. Of course I had to have a bit of ribbon somewhere.
Close up of the monkey and the sentiment which I drew a line round the punched shape  because it annoyed me being plain. Now you've seen my card you can understand how it took so long to cut them all out including the palm trees.
Another view of the whole card cos its my blog and I can. I was really pleased with the finished card because everything that could go wrong did. Lets hop my niece loves it too.

Penny Black Saturday

Well it the last Saturday in October and the clocks go back tonight and we will be on the run down to Christmas. I thought it would be a good idea to use the fabulous sketch challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week to make another Christmas Card.
The little puddy cat stamp is called Wish List and the papers are Echo Park Holly Jolly, snowflakes are a cuttlebug die and a couple of Martha Stewart punches along with the snowflake border. Another fave sentiment stamp this time from Penny Black.
I've used fun flock for the bobble and brim of the cat's hat and some gems to finish.
Hope you able to join us this week and there's always some fabulous inspiration from the DT so check them out.

Polka Dot Friday.

After I had made a couple of lately I had some pieces of patterned paper left over and they were both dotty.  Realising there was a Polka dot Less is More challenge rather than save the paper in my increasing large scrap box I decided to make some really quick cards.
The first is EK success retro flower punches and the Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl, Ok that green swirl is a much better looking green in real life but love the curly swirly sentiment from Stamping Up.

Now I have seen this type of Christmas tree on several Stampin Up blogs so since I have the pennant punch I gave it a try. The pot is just a scrap of brown but it makes the tree more grounded. Another fabulous sentiment from Stampin Up. Below is just a different shape card.
I throughly enjoyed my shopping yesterday with only one item on my list left which I not surpised I know the punch is in short supply so it was wishful thinking. Love the Paper room at Crafts U love and the fabulous new classroom. I brought quite a few things not on my list mainly paper and lots of it, also a punch and a die now all I need is to find a space for it all.

Tilda Trees

This card started off with the sketch from Papertake Weekly, I had the trees waiting to be used and the green dotty paper are a download.
But I wished now to have used the dotty paper for the strip under the snowflake border to balance the use of the pattern paper and I'm not sure on my corner either which is why I put a star there.
Instead of moaning about the things that bug me I love those trees I brought them because of a light bulb moment which I still have to do.
For my Birthday my Hubby has taken today off work to take me to Crafts U Love since I haven't been since its been extended and as I have my hubby at my peck and call there may be a diversion to The Glitter Pot. I shall be good I have a list of things I want.

WOYWW and Scrapbooking

This WOYWW would look worst but I had to hide some evidence of the card I had made last night and I was too tired to tidy up. I made a very special card for a very important person whose birthday it is today but she's not getting her card till Saturday particularly as its still wet!
But if I tell you I watched 3 crime programmes or should I say listened while I cut out all the parts of the different imagesyou wouldn't be surprised it took all day to make but you will have to wait till Sunday before I can blog it.
So I leave you with some Scrapbooking that I realised that hasn't been on my blog although I think I have loaded it to my All in One place blog.
With Christmas coming I can see my scrapbooking taking a back seat for a while.

Simon Says Anything Goes

It's Anything Goes over Simon Says Stamps Challenge and the team is showcasing Bo Bunny papers in my case Welcome Home just love the green, blue and brown tones.
I used another Stamping Bella this time Meredith the teacup girl love how I can cut out the butterflies and of course you have to have more so I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. You then need a flower for the butterflies to perch on so I used the McGill Floriano flower punch and a circle punch for the centre. Still love the MFT swirl so much so I don't bother to put it away since I'm constantly using it.

Now the DT have some amazing creations to inspire you and don't forget the fabulous prize that someone's go to win.
Happy 40th Birthday to my Bridesmaid

Sketch Time

A couple of weeks ago on Everybody Art Challenge the sponsor was Paper Shelter but I had already made the card because of my holiday. So I was allowed to have this darling for the fabulous easy sketch for this weeks challenge.
Don't you just love her hair, the papers are Fancy Pants, MFT swirls and punched flowers. The sentiment is hand written it did take a few trys before I was happy. To finish the Iggy goo border punch and a cricut spider.
This is my final Halloween card, pity because I would love the use her again but I'll just have to wait till next year.
Don't forget to check the team for some inspiration.

Magnolia Monday

Memo to myself not to let the sun go down before I photo the card, although this card worked out not too bad.
I've use this week Sweet Sketch Wednesday and for a change I've used a Tilda stamp. Theres a punchy challenge on Magnolia Down Under Challenge so I think with all the flowers, my punched doily edges and the doo hickey swirl meets that criteria.
The papers are Kaiser and I had to have a bit ribbon and the sentiment is Craftwork cards to finish.
So it was quiet day yesterday managed to almost make DT creation that I've never done before just need to layer the image today.
Then I'm going to play with some Memory box dies that I picked up from the Art of Craft shop near my Sis, Julie Hickey was demo-ing but we were drooling over these fabulous dies. I've a few more on their way from Simon Says Stamps but I couldn't get the snowflake die but its in my hands now.

A Vintage Christmas

I never got the chance to photo my cards I made on Friday and yesterday Sis rang last minute to invite me over for the day so that meant an early start.
So this morning I had to wait for daylight to photo this card even so I still had to have light on luckily this card worked out fine.
I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash, just in time too, new sketch is tomorrow. Can't believe I've used gold on this card not always keen on gold but it worked beautifully with the vintage Christmas papers from Authentique
I printed the gorgeous image from Mo onto white thin cardstock so I blended Antique Linen round the edges to take the white starkness away. MAWTT have a vintage challenge reckon this ticks that box.
Not sure why but when I see this image it reminds of the story of the Little Match Girl

Whoops too late for Sketch and Stash!

Embossed Christmas Card

Still looking for the perfect CAS Christmas card and maybe this could be it. The embossed card is using the Craft Too folder which fits this shaped card perfectly. I then used the same folder for the piece of red card.
Used it again and cut out the shaped in middle.
My problem was finding a large sentiment and I don't have one with a Christmas sentiment so thats going on my Wish list but hopefully this Butterfly Kisses sentiment looks OK.
To finish a few snowflakes with gems and I used a white pen to dot the embossed on the white card.
Reckon I could do quite a few of these before I get bored.

Too Cute to Spook

Whoa nearly forgot to do my Penny Black Saturday Challenge, I'm off to my Sis for the day not sure what I'm going to do but packed loads of stuff.
So here I am hurrying to compose my post with Hubby waiting patiently to take me. So you can guess what the challenge is this week Too cute to Spook.
I love this cute cat stamp shame it only gets used once a year. The papers are Fancy Pants and my Halloween decorations are all cut out using the cricut and finished of with googly eyes except the Cuttlebug corner.
Do check out the fabulous team and there's a cute PB stamp to win.

Friday Fairy

I quickly photo this card yesterday but it didn't turn out that great so I had to tweak it with Photoshop but again I'm so disappointed because I'm really pleased with the card in real life.
The sketch is the current Pink Ink Sketch, the papers are once again Kaiser and the sweet image is a Sugar Nellie.
Had to use the MFT swirl and I think it works with the spray of roses and punched leaves, the sentiment is craftwork cards.
My DD says the bit of ribbon wasn't necessary but you know me if I can I will.

Teen Fairy

I know in theory she should be a Christmas Fairy but I think she is perfect for a Teenager for her Birthday and add that I love Mo's images I just had to buy her. I'm finding stamping sometimes hard to do and so pleased I'm able to use Digi now  and $3 converts very nicely into pounds.
I've used this week sketch from Sketch Saturday which I think I will probably use again it worked out well although I will have to work some ribbon in next time.
The papers are Kaiser, the flowers EK succes and my new MFT swirl die from Simon Says Stamps that I still haven't got out of my system. The sentiment is Stamping Up its called Petite Pairs and I think may become a new favourite.
All finished with a some Gems.

Simon Says Fairytale

Its Fairy Tale Time over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week or a Nursery Rhyme, we're showcasing Magnolia and how could I not use Tilda as Snow White.
There is a problem she's about to take a bite out of the poison apple so not sure I could make a happy card!
I also used the Winter Tree and the Doo Hickey grass die, the papers are Prima Alla Stack and the corner die is a Cuttlebug set called Vintage.
The tiny flowers are a punch I've had for years and the stickyback gems are from a pack I received from Simon Says Stamps as small gift with my order.
Do check out the team they've made a much better job than me and don't forget to join in to be in with a chance to win.

Pink Mushroom

Next time I say back to normal please tell me to shut up, what a day I had yesterday it really was one that I would love to rewind and start again. I made some really stupid mistakes and so accident prone I was lucky I didn't hurt myself.  But today is a bit special so maybe things won't be so bad although I've already split some hot water from the kettle to make my first coffee of the day!
So back to the card for today its a fab LOTV for the EveryBody Art Challenge for Mushrooms or in my case one mushroom. The papers are Kaiser there's a surpise and the butterflies are punches from Martha Stewart and Tonic, loads of gems to finish the butterflies and then I couldn't stop. Once again the sentiment is High Hopes well its sitting on my desk so its in easy reach and it helps that I love it.
Do pop over to the challenge blog and check out what the team have made and we would of course love for you to join us.
Hopefully I shall be crafting today yesterday I thought it would safer to keep out of my craft room.
