Spring and Cute

Cute Card Thursday has a sketch for their challenge this week so I wasn't going to miss that one.
I decided to use this cute Penny Stamp that was ready to use but I decided to use these papers for a Spring like card for the Moving Along with the Times Challenge.
The problem was the very pink flower behind the rabbit so I careful chopped it off but it left quite a bit of white space in front of the chick but I found this bit of lace while looking for the right colour ribbon and it worked out a treat.
The papers I think are Wild Rose but they've long since lost their cover.
We had a fab night on Saturday and we had quiet Sunday to recover.

Have a little Blog Candy on offer, you can find the post HERE

Spots and Sketch

This is going to be a quick post cos I've got to schedule it before going out, I will probably suffering from the night before so no idea what time I would get to post it, if I don't schedule.
So here's my Just Magnolia Challenge card for spots and I used Friday Sketchers Sketch for this week too.
I've used Echo Park papers and the swirl is from Magnolia, flowers from Wild Orchid and my favourite MS Cherish Punch.
I've used the chair stamp many times and its from WOJ.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend, see you tomorrow.

A Penny Black sketch

We have a fabulous sketch from Pauline this week on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and you know I love sketches.
Now I coloured this sweet bunny to go with some papers but when it came to making the card I ended up just using the small dotty one.
I embossed the first mat and since the folder isn't large enough, you find the join under the Cherish border.
The pink ribbon and gems were to bring in a touch of pink so it would work with the pink flowers.
Do hope you can join in and don't forget to check out the DT they are amazing and if that doesn't convince you how about 15% off at PB STAMPS for life.
Tonight we're off to our favourite Chinese Restaurant they're celebrating Chinese New Year which I believe isn't till the 3rd Feb.
So it will be a late night and a stay over at Sis, must make sure I schedule a post for tomorrow so I don't have to use the slowest PC in Hampshire.

In the Pink

I'm really annoyed with the camera or it could just be the grey days we're having but after all the trouble I took to find some matching pink paper, the camera for some strange reason as turned it RED!
Its a perfect match to Echo Park papers that I used even paper pieced the suitcase.
The image is of course a Penny Black and I used button for the centre of the bow, need some practice with that idea but it does mean I can enter into Creative Inspirations Challenge this week.
It was a great Stampin Up night because Sis hired the Golf Club function room at Southwood, Farnborough there was twenty of us, everyone manage to make a card and the lovely Blossom made some yummy food.
And yes I did some spending and enough to order my OWL.
Ok the the card is really annoying me, its suppose to Sunny and Cold, if it is I will try and photo that card again.

edited:- have changed photo its only slightly better but at least it doesn't look bright red now.

Hello Froggy

Gosh I'm late this morning, thats what happens when you make you card late in the afternoon and there's no light to take a photo. Still waiting for the light this morning and managed to take this pic with the ordinary light on, surprised it worked.
I've used the fabby sketch over on Papertake Weekly and my image is a fab froggy from Penny Black.
The papers are Imaginesce and the flowers are once again punched out this time with the Woodware daisy punch. I punched them out using the stripey papers, wasn't sure it worked but do love how quirky they look.
All finished using some pearl and stickles.
Today I'm having my roots done, the grey is peeking through again and tonight my Sis is having a Stampin Up party for our friend Nicki, does mean I can order the cute Owl, so no time for crafting today.

The same but different

No WOYWW this week cos it looks the same as all the other weeks a MESS.
But I do have a little candy the lovely Tina at High Hopes sent me some extra stamps with my last DT package  and I'm going to offer then as a Blog Candy especially with valentines coming up you will be needing them soon.
The images on these cards which are all basically the same sketch but a a bit different well the images are for a start.
Someone has forgotten to take a picture of the red unmounted stamps but you can see them clearly on the cards although I haven't found the right skunk colours. The sentiment You're my little cuppy cake is also in the candy.

So should you like to be the proud owners of Dustin Pikes stamps from High Hopes, please use Mr Linky and I will draw it on Monday morning so I can post on Tuesday.

Animal Antics

It's Animal Antics over on Simon Says Stamps Challenge and all the the DT is showcasing all the fab animals from Stampabilities. This isn't a requirement for the challenge, we  like to show what is available at Simon Says Stamps.

Again you might remember he was in that parcel from Simon Says Stamps which I showed on a WOYWW  and also the Hero Arts cling spotty flowers that I've used on this card too.
I'm still using scraps and this time its Wisteria Basic Grey and if I could get my hands on more I would, loved that pack.
Once again I've punched a frame using Martha Stewart, now I know Simon Says Stamps had this punch but I couldn't find it to link but I did find some new punches, Oh dear I can feel anothe spend coming up.
The sentiment is from a sentiment set also from Simon Says Stamps and I stamped directly onto image mat.

Don't forget there's an amazing prize so why don't you join us and if you need some inspiration just check out the DT who've done a much better job than me.

Glimmer and Glitter

I'm going to blame Mr Blogger for not publishing this post but I think it may have been the person who programmed the time and we all know who that was.
We have a glittery challenge for you this fortnights Challenge, Glitter and lots of it. The image of used was a favourite image that a fellow blogger used when I started blogging and introduce me to the delights of High Hopes stamp.
I've use the Girl Friday from Cosmo Cricket not sure how I got stacks of this paper but I starting to get through it now. The flowers are brought ones, I know including my EAC card thats three times this week I've used already made ones. But I've attacked them with pearl glimmer mists but the camera doesn't pick that up and you can just work out that the brads, fairy wings and the bears plaster have been glittered.
Now the Diva's would love you to come and join in and don't forget to check their creations too.

Our lovely Head Diva has a wonderful little friend whose very poorly at the moment and to try and cheer him up she's having a card drive.
You can check out the post here  Pray for Luke - Card Drive

I do hope you can help, can you imagine he's little face when he received loads of cards.  Mines on it way, its not this card since its a bit girly but hopefully he will like the one I've sent.

My Favourites

We have a fab challenge this week over on Everybody Art Challenge its for Favourite things.
I just had to include the Penny Black Mice not that I love mice in real life but they're really the first animals I managed to colour to my satisfaction now if I can get away with it I will colour all animals in mice colours.
My other favourite things are my punches especially the Cherish punch and the stampin up oval punches too.
Ribbon, oh yes there has to be ribbon and  flowers too. Not forgetting patterned papers these are My Minds Eye.
Do pop over to the Challenge Blog to check out the DT favourites and why not join in too.
Gosh didn't realise how rubbish this photo is, will try later to see if I can photo another.

Times to Treasure

For a change I used brought flowers, I feel guilty I've so many and always seemed to use punches. The image from LOTV one of the new ones, love that some of them have a sentiment to go with them. I've used a stampin up punch but it didn't quite fit so I had to use it at an angle which now I'm not so sure about.
I've used the sketch on the LOTV challenge and the papers are Basic Grey Green at Heart so that means I can enter it into the Basic Grey Challenge which is for flowers.
Well heres hoping that this week will be better than the last one.

Just Tilda

I didn't order the magnolia stamp club and I was going to resist the new ones since Tilda is a bit like marmite and even though I love her many people don't. As you can see I couldn't resist and so I brought just three, very restrained for me.
Another shock is that my Antique Linen and a blending tool is permanently on my desk, but since I'm using papers I've been hoarding and they have cream undertones, I use the ink to tone down the white card stock I stamps my images on.
And I used it on the flowers and even the ribbon because the pink was a bit too pink, basically if it went on the card it got inked.
I'm using the fab sketch from Donalda for Just Magnolia, you can also use hAnglar stamps but that quite a mouthful to type.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday and I used the deep edge daisy border from Martha Stewart for around the the oval, finished with a LOTV sentiment.

Ribbon and Lace

Whoops nearly forgot it a two week challenge over of on A Gem of a Challenge and its my turn to choose a theme.  Well you all know I love ribbon and whether it be lace or a punched lace border there is usually one of them on my card. So I've choosen Ribbon and Lace for my theme.
This little Gem was a freebie over Christmas, if you missed it you can get it as a download at Pink Gem Designs but the sentiment is a stamp which is still available.
I've also used Pink Gem's Springtime papers too. I used stickles on the bubbles so they would sparkle.
I also had to choose the top 3, gosh that was hard they were all gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you all do this month.
My Penny Black card is on the post below.

A Bargain

Have you picked up anything crafty in the January Sales, well thats the theme for the challenge over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
To be honest I only got some from Hobbycraft but that was Christmas stuff that I've plans for so I've used this stamp I brought at a Second Hand Craft Sale that my nearest Craft shop does and this little chap cost me 50p.
I've no idea about the papers, I've been trying to use some old ones up and these are very old.
My flowers are using the retro/funky flower punches from EK Success. I believe they're hard to get hold off at the moment but I think thats because the company have changed the style of their punches.
Do pop over to see the gorgeous creations the DT have made and maybe you like to join us too.

Starry sketch

This is the card I salvaged from Wednesday, stamped and coloured the PB image to replace the image I binned.
The papers are the fabulous My Boy from Echo Park and the sketch is from Sketch Saturday.
It's a bit of rush job since I had to finish it this morning so I could put it on my blog.
Yesterday I went and said Goodbye to my Friend's daughter, I hope it was a comfort to my friend to see so many people coming to say their goodbyes.

Spoonful of Sweetness

Well its a good job this card was waiting to be posted because yesterday really was a hump day. I've used the sweet gingerbread boy from Pink Gem Designs along with Oh Boy download papers.
Janet suggested to use a texture card to print on, well I use quite a heavyweight linen card that I use to make the actual card and was surprised that my Epson printer quite happily printed on it unlike my previous printer who refused point blank to.
I then used the fab sketch from Friday Sketchers and in the hearts there's a tiny bit of green so I added a bit more green with the brads and ribbon so I can use the card for the Blue and Green challenge on A spoonful of Sugar.
I cut out the stars and heart off the scraps left over and the sentiment is again from Pink Gem Designs.
Well I've discovered another flaw in digi images, I almost made a card when I discovered that the images I had cut out were a slightly different size from each other. You couldn't tell by looking at them but when you tried to layering them it was pretty obvious. So it went in the bin and I decided since this was exactly how my day was going, I'll give up for the day.

Space

A strange WOYWW post this is a my cd and radio player, I don't use the cd cos its temperamental but I like having the radio on. When you're home alone most days it helps to feel you still in touch with the rest of world.
But I also have an i pod with some very cheesy tunes on and I need a docking station to play it. I know you have earphones but when I'm crafting I likely to chop the wires with the scissors.
I've wanted for some time a docking station that includes a radio even if it is to make a space I could use.
You imagine how pleased I am when the volume button on the cd/radio isn't working so good ( no I didn't try and sabotage it).
So with some money left over from my Birthday I ordered a docking cube with radio.
And look how much space its made. Now just got to decide if I want another set of double drawers there.

Purple Princess

We have a bingo challenge on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week, you can go up and down and across, even diagonal.
In my case I used Punch/Die cute, embossing and ribbon, I did have a bit of a senior moment and put some brought flowers on which is in a different box so I had to rip them off pretty quick and get my retro punch out.
The little girl is from The Greeting Farm  Madelynn and you may remember she was in that parcel that I brought from Simon Says Stamps.
Love the Martha Stewart around the punch which is why I probably keep using it and since Simon Says Stamps loves anything by Tim Holtz I used part of the Alterations swirl.  The embossing I 've used is the marvellous swiss dots by the Cuttlebug.
Cutting into the Bo Bunny paper has been really hard to do, I've had it so long most places have sold out but I do lovestroking them.
Dont forget the amazing prize from Simon Says Stamp  of $50 and the challenge is really fun to do and if need some inspiration pop over to the Simon Says Stamp Challenge and check out the fab creations by the DT.

A Spotty Post

There is no challenge on High Hopes Challenge this week, now we are bi-weekly challenge the existing Anything Goes is finishing next monday ready for the new challege on the 25th.
But we are having tutorials on the weeks in between and this week there is one from Kristine who is showing how to paper pieced. Eventually even I am doing a tutorial wonder what that could be!
Since I'm on the team I had advance warning of the tutorial and thought it would be fun to have a go and this large old High Hopes stamp was idea for the spotty red paper I had, well its really cardstock but it worked just as well.
The papers are American Craft and I couldn't add too many embellies since she is such a big girl.

Snow

It's almost but not quite a Christmas card, the challenge on Everybody Art Challenge is for SNOW.  Lucky for me I had James from LOTV left over from. The snowflake punches and the Icicle border were still in reach to use. And I got the chance to use the Sizzix embossing folder that I brought but too late for Christmas cards.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket but from two diffferent packs and some pearls and glitter to finish.
Do pop over to check out the DT you will always find some fab inspiration.
Have some technical probs this morning, this is the second time I've written this post, hopefully its my broadband supplier and not anything my PC is doing.

Looking for the High Hopes Blog Hop Post, its

Favourite things

My favourite things is the challenge on Just Magnolia, fairly easy challenge. I love sketches so I had to chose a sketch which is a new one for me The Sweet Stop sketch blog.
I love my border punches from Martha Stewart even though on this card I promptly hid it. There has to ribbon and of course punched flowers, another is the craftwork cards sentiments that work with the stampin up punches and last of the Cuttlebug corners.
The papers are American craft and the embossing folder is a freebie out of the Do-crafts magazine its only small but it does for the image mat.
I feeling a bit under the weather had an awful headache yesterday didn't spoil the crop party but has left me feeling a bit washed out, hopefully making a card later will make me feel better.

Wings and things

Now I didn't buy every new LOTV stamps but I did buy quite a few, usually I do cutesy but I thought this grown up fairy would work well.
On the LOTV challenge its for wings and things and pretty sure this fairy covers that.  I've used my sketch that I made for Gem of challenge. The papers are from Kaiser, there's only the ones I don't like are left.
The sentiment is also LOTV and I've glittered the fairy and her wings too.
Hopefully Mr Blogger is behaving and this post is schedule. I should be at our crop at Mychett having our christmas party that was cancelled due to the snow in December.
