Bo Bunny LOTV

Oh my goodness I've cut into some Bo Bunny papers that I've been hoarding for ages to use for this LOTV darling. There's a gorgeous sketch from Bev on LOTV challenge and I had to have a go. The papers cried out for lace and I still have some cream lace given to me from a very good friend. Not too sure on the flowers now, they look fine in real life.
Some pearl and swirls and job is done.
I have to say I'm having a bit of sulk since the LOTV are releasing their new stamps at the NEC and I want them all. But the NEC is just that bit far out for us so I've got to wait patiently for the 12th November and any one who knows me Patience isn't something I'm know for.

Zig Zag Hedgie

ZigZags and triangle are the challenge on Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week. My MS border punch was the ideal choice and I always think of a Mans' card when I used it.
So I got out the cute Golfing Hedgie. Triangles say bunting but I couldn't work out whats wrong with mine and then I saw Jenny's card, immediately realise mine bunting is too straight.
The papers are Echo Park and the tags are stampin up punches using a HobbyArt sentinment.
This weeks prize is 15% discount for life with PB stamps and check out the gorgeous Design Team.

Well this weekend I'm sort of at  home, well I am today but tomorrow I'm back at Sis to finish the secret project.

How do you wrap a Hug

I do hate it when you want to make a card and Mr Mojo ups and leaves. I just don't think I've done the fabulous sketch from Dawny on Just Magnolia justice.
You can tell that the Tilda's I brought were because I thought I could use them all the year round and Secret Tilda is no exception.
The papers are Cosmo Cricket but I'm not sure of the collection, I want to say Girl Friday. My funky flower punches from EK success had an outing and the sentiment is Penny Black.
Do you think it too plain!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received this fabby card from Claire a few days ago and been meaning to pop it on my blog to record all the cards I got for my Birthday. Claire's son Daniels birthday is soon and I've sent  him a birthday card for a couple of years now, can't believe another year as gone by. If you can spare a card Daniel would love it, you can read about Daniel here.

Watch out there's a Mouse or two, three, four.......

Occasionally I have a bad day and yesterday was one of them, it means there is no challenge card today although I hope to make one today. What I do have are my Thank you cards with those pesky mice. I've kept them simple and as flat as possible without losing their dimension.
Oh yeah and I made 16 of those awful flat bows, I'm amazed I managed them all but they set the card off and they do fit through the normal post slot.

Here's a little close up.

This is the second version, the card is smaller than the normal 14.5cm square because I used a square dotty embossing folder from craft too. We're only talking about about centimeter just to make the card look balance but it means I don't have to work out where the join is to hide it.

Not Just for Christmas

I need to get better organised these dark morning are not helpful when trying to photo your card and I'm kicking myself I could of photo it yesterday afternoon but by the time I remembered it was dark.
This is another new Tilda and even though it suppose to be a Christmas one I've used it for an everyday card or in this case another Thank you card.
I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash challenge and the papers are Kaiser.
I've also used punches for the flowers, the border round the oval and the Magnolia swirl die, also I've used stampin up punches for the sentiment too. With all these punches which would work for another card for Simon Says Stamps but A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge is for punches too, I do believe there's another challenge but can't remember the name.
Lets hope Mr Blogger doesn't do strange things with the text like it did with my WOYWW post yesterday.

WOYWW

Mice
By the time I've cut this pesky mice out and put them on their cards I will have a total of 16 thank you cards.
Unfortunately that means 16 mice to cute out, plus 10 daisies. Who thought this would be a quick and simple, Oh yeah that would be me.
At the moment my desk isn't too bad but I don't see that happening those mice will be creating a lot of mess once I start cutting out.
If don't know what WOYWW is the one time all the tidy (lol) crafters show off their craft desks check out Julie's blog.
Off to a Stampin Up party tonight I've waited patiently for my friend to have a party and then she cancelled until a couple weeks time, lucky for me another friend thought she would have one instead, good thing too its means I can spread the cost of my wish list over two parties.

Baubles and Candy Winner

Not my usual type of card for the Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week. It's Punch it out and the DT is showcasing Hero Arts, you don't have to use them to enter the challenge.
So I had these Hero Arts baubles and I didn't realise how big they were till I stamped them out.
Now I wanted to use the Martha Stewart snowflake round the page at this point I knew there wasn't much space to mat and layering I could do, especially once I laid it over this Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather pattern paper. Do check out Simon Says Stamps Store loads of Martha Stewart, Hero Arts  and Cosmo Cricket.products including the new  MS punches.
As you can see I coloured the baubles in red and turquiose which I thought made them stand out, added gold details with a gold pen and gems, not forgetting stickles.
My problem I brought the baubles for a quick card but it didn't work out that way but it does go through the normal post slot.

I don't forget there's a fab prize from Simon Says Stamps and check out the DT including our newest member Mandy.

So here it is this is what you've been waiting for.

Birthday card for You

Its a Happy Birthday challenge on High Hopes Challenge today and I used an older High Hopes stamps she is the gorgeous Andrea with her Kittens. I love this cutie possibly because my baby girl (I know she is grown up but she will always be my baby girl) is called Andrea.
I've used the fab Walk in Park by Echo Park and out came my deep Martha Stewart daisy border punch which I cut lengthways and after cutting it, I fitted it round the oval. The flowers are Hero Arts that I got from Simon Says Stamps in a DT pack and the inside is a punch with a creamy pearl.
Do pop over and check the DT there's always marvellous creations to see.

Football Crazy

On Everybody Art Challenge there's a photo to inspire your design of card. After some thought I decided to use this cute LOTV and he works really well with the red and black colour combo.
I had a bit of sort through and found some really old papers no idea who makes them they were probably brought several years ago.
Now looking at it I'm not sure on the white dotty ribbon but I didn't want to use a black ribbons reminds to much of sympathy cards.
Here's the pic of the photo inspiration and don't forget to check out the amazing creations from the Design Team..

So yesterday I managed to sort out the Cricut Gypsy and there was a tricky moment while it was updating my Internet connection broke but the end result was a word cut on the Cricut. I do need some practice and all my cartridges need loaded into it but I think the trick will be to tell myself I can only cut on the cricut by using it.
Then my Sis took me to see our Mum and we popped off for some retail therapy so not much time for card making and the mice are still waiting.
Back later with my High Hopes Challenge and to close the candy.

It's My Birthday

Candy now closed with 262 links

will announce winner tomorrow 27th October

It's my Birthday not just any Birthday but a big Birthday.
Today I'm half a century. Now you could be wondering what this has to do with Simon Says Stamps.
Well I asked to buy a gift voucher/card for a Blog Candy to celebrate my birthday but the wonderful guys said they would love to do this for me.
So my Blog Candy is a $50 gift card to spend in Simon Says Stamp Store and trust me you won't have any problems spending it. There are a 1000 Penny Black stamps, 196 Martha Stewart Products and loads of stamp companies .
Now you have until my niece's birthday the 26th October to enter and you just need to link with Mr Linky. No blog no problem e-mail me at debby4000craftystuff@hotmail.co.uk
My candy doesn't include shipping but I'm sure a little ribbon parcel from me will make up for it.
So what are you waiting for.

New posts will be below this one till next week.

Hug a Snowman

Phew running late this morning but that's because its dark and I had to wait for some daylight to take today's card. This is one of the few new Tilda's I brought and I used her on this weeks sketch on Sketch Saturday.
My Minds Eye colourful papers and lots of snowflakes from various punches, plenty of stickles and fluffy stuff.
Well I had a fabulous meal on Saturday and took quite a few photos but I should of left the flash on, I thought I could get away with not having it on but I was wrong so will have to try and see if I could salvage them through photo-shop but I'm bit of novice so will wait and see.
The secret project that I doing with Sis is not finished and may need another Sunday its looks good but there are several pages still to do.
The PB mice are still running amok in my craft room and need to get hold of them today to start making thank you cards but today is Gypsy day where I'm going to sort out how it works so maybe those mice have another day to wait yet.

Pretty in Pink

It seems ages ago since I made a Tilda card and can you believe it but I didn't buy the latest club kit, don't worry I've brought a couple but I'm finding that Tilda is like marmite and people don't always like her so I can only make them for people who love her.
But she such an easy image to colour, so while I was having off days I coloured her in and then the challenge on Just Magnolia was for a Pink card to promote Breast Cancer Awareness and although she is not completely Pink but there's plenty of it.
I also used the fabulous sketch from Jacque on Friday Sketchers who herself is an inspiriation beating Breast Cancer.
The papers I've used are American Crafts and the embossing folder is a cuttlebug one, I've dotted the dots with a pink souffle pen, it doesn't show up on the photo but its there.
You can't have a Tilda card with the marvellous magnolia swirl, yes they're not cheap but I've used it so many times its certainly been worth it. Flowers are various punches and the corners are cuttlebug dies.
So I'm at my Sis, so this as been scheduled hopefully (love you Mr Blogger) not only is her PC slower than a snail, her security thingy is outdated and she wants to put a new one on, rather her than me.

A Penny Black Halloween

This is it the last Halloween card I plan to make this year, I had this image coloured for a while but I planned to use her today for Penny Black Saturday Challenge. I saw the technique for moon but I may have been a bit heavy handed with the distressing ink.
The paper are Echo Park, lots left for next year, a bit of ribbon and the bats and spiders cut out on the cricut.
Thats about it oh don't forget the googly eyes.
Do pop over to check out the fabulous creations by the DT. This week we have some rolls of ribbon from Fantastic Ribbon for a prize.

I want to thank everyone who had a go at my sketch, I think I managed to see nearly everyone but will check this morning to see the last few.
Well today I must start my thank you cards, I tried quick and easy but didn't like them so at the moment my craftroom is over run with PB mice.

Trees, swirls and snowflakes

I managed to get the Marianne Christmas tree die off e-bay and it was going on my card whether it worked or not lucky for me it doesn't look too bad. I balanced it by using the gold for the Magnolia swirl.
My card is for Cute Card Thursday which is a sketch from Lynn wasn't sure to begin with but I think it worked out fine.
The different corners were an accident cos I couldn't chose which one so I cut out one of each and put them on the card to see which one and decided I liked them both.
I've used James the bear from LOTV and since its a Christmas cards I can enter it this weeks challenge which is Winter Wonderland.

More cards have arrived theses are from Jane, Nat and Marcea.

These are the last, a couple were missed when I photo the others.

Well the weekend looks like its going to be busy with Saturday I'm actually going out to celebrate my niece's birthday which is the day I thought she would be celebrating and Sunday I've a secret project with my Sister that needs to be finished before November.

Christmas in Pink

Struggling with Mr Mojo to do anything but I can't resist Dawny's sketch on Papertake Weekly and I've a few images coloured wating to be used and this is one of them.
The papers are My Minds Eye and of course the snowflakes are Martha Stewart. I used a mixture of flower soft and funflock for her muff and stickles for the snowflakes, seems I forgot to put some at her feet for snow.
I amazed with all the Birthday wishes and I'm still receiving cards which I will update with later.

Birthday Bash

No WOYWW this Wednesday going to record my Birthday cards and goodies instead, its a bit picture heavy. So here's my pressies.

Loads of Birthday cards and they're still arriving

Thanks to Jo, Lols and Liz for these cuties

Marianne, MJ and Pauline

My niece and my Sis made these, in the little book is full of pics that she used on the walls at my Birthday party good job you can't see them!

This little cutie is from Domi.

There were 50 candles on this gorgeous card, I was worried about the smoke alarms so my nephew gave me a hand to blow them out. It was a delicious carrot cake.

I'm with my Dad now its sad to say but if Mum was at home instead of hospital she wouldn't have come and Dad would have felt he couldn't leave her so this was a real treat to have my Dad at my party.

Brian had just come back from band practice so he was in the full Piper gear including bagpipes and there was no-way he could leave without playing us a couple tunes.

This little one didn't want to go home isn't she cute.

We took the girls at Scrapbuddies Crop the following day some cake and then the boys arrived with a couple bottles of cava.
It's no wonder I'm exhausted its been a really busy, exciting and fun Birthday Weekend
